Yes at least perhaps 50,000 as benchmarks are high. Have windows 7 which may be issue. Finally after a week connected to Internet but can not down load BOINC projects! Extremelty frustrating. Hoping after load XP that will work. Any ideas?


Hmmm, I don't think it's the UAC issue with Vista. That kept popping idiotic "is this okay" windows up I believe. So, you can connect to the internet fine. Did you connect to boinc.berkeley.edu and download BOINC from there okay? Did it successfully install? Does BOINC start up at boot up or if you click on it? I think you're at this point. BOINC runs but won't get new work. I believe that means that you have successfully attached to the WCG project. If you click on Activity, are Run Always and Network activity always available both selected? If you click on the Update button, what do you see on the Messages page?

Last night tried switching which hard drive is primary and using Windows XP instead of WWindows 7. My thinking (or lack there of) being that perhaps it is the operating system. Unfortunately now it will no longer turn on! I will again today work on it and am sure I can revive it. After all I am a doctor! Then I will try your recomendations. Thanks. Also reconnected a older cruncher yesterday which should start adding about 5,000 or so points a day. Can not let RT get too far ahead. By the way good morning. coffee coffee coffee

OK. BOINC works with XP, Vista and Windows 7 very well so it does not make sense to change out your operating system to fix this problem. If you will try what I suggested and what Keith suggested and that does not work, then call me and we will work through it and get that puppy running. I am extremely curioius to see how much work you can pump through it. smile
