Hoping the production units pack more 'jobs', as this is too short for my liking... will cause a major increase in scheduler load if this research swells to the same daily number as HCC:

huh, what is your WTD setting? Mine checkpoint never more frequent than my client setting, 5 minutes minimum, default at least 60 seconds apart...
----------------------------------------hmmm unless the permission to write query has not been set in the science app and it writes whenever it wants to, which can be frequent for several sciences, particular during startup phase.
