Putting the spinnaker out in a novel way, using it as an air-break:



The 2 local hawks have discovered a new refuge. Yesterday they were visiting the house taking seat on the terrace lamps just below the roof. Wet snow yesterday... 9C, so it was gone in few hours after dawn. The other birds were in awe and silent :D

My son got this one. A Green Heron after a successful hunt under a walking bridge at Purgatory Creek Wetlands in Eden Prairie, MN. That is a fresh water Perch that took him a while to get down.

wonderful thread and terrific pictures. ther are many people with a lot of talent and luck/patience to be in the rioght place at right moment to capture this kind of masterpieces in photografy.

Uncommon to see a Black Crowned Night Heron in our neck of the woods in the summer and it looks like she nested here. Standing on a log with her fledgling with a painted turtle in between them.
