Wegman's "Independent" Hockey Stick Report Highly Politicized - and Fatally Flawed
http://www.desmogblog.com/wegmans-report-highly-politicized-and-fatally-flawed

The story on Wegman & Co has not ended and from perusing appears to be, how shall we say... well read for yourself... kettles calling the size where meals for whole tribes could be cooked in.

The sun is waking from its (relative) slumber. Here is an ultraviolet image from the new Solar Dynamics Observatory. What will it be like when it is NOT quiet in a few years?

Re: Not sure how much longer they will be able to keep crunching in the UK

Well, according Judith Lean, one of the TSI paper publishers, one DA in past has used to produce a TSI reconstructed chart, it is 0.24 Watts / Square meter difference for us on the ground reaching us at a light travel time distance of about 8 minutes delay [sun to earth]... for perspective, that's less than 0.1% variation. Anyone believing ice will melt any faster when put under a lamp that's not giving off 1364.7 but 1365.9 watts/m^2 at TOA?

Darn, you got me going again, why not, here's that splendorous Total Solar Irradiation chart again with latest monthly sunspot number. Anyone seeing the declining trend since the 50's on the blue wiggle? Maybe a global conspiracy not to count those on the far side?

PS: SORCE reports 4.7 watts less, a well published difference versus VIRGO and 5.1 watts less than ACRIM III.

Re: Not sure how much longer they will be able to keep crunching in the UK

The Habital Planet. I'm reading, reading reading and digesting, so more on this later, but first a striking image where already 3 elements in earth's chemistry have gone off the safe-zone scale:

1. Biodiversity Loss [Yes another consequence of that UK judges ruling that we're changing land use such that the Kilimanjaro is loosing snow cover]
2. Nitrogen cycle [Our atmosphere is about ~78% composed of this element, in gassy form]. We're pumping allot onto/into the agri-lands and much ends up not in the crops... http://www.idswater.com/Common/Paper/Paper_10...trogen%20Fertilizers1.htm
3. Climate Change. Now when it rains it tends to pour rather than drizzle or as an Inuit observation was: When it's rains 1 inch spread over the month of July, my garden is fine, when it pours an 1 inch on July 1, and no more, my garden burns. It's what we see more and more, hence why irrigation needs are increasing... but where's the storage capacity gone/going, when we are so expertly flushing of immediate excess back to the oceans? Deminishing glaciers and snow cover loss to supply water in the warm season is not getting any better, or?

We're living in a fishbowl... can you picture that?

PS: Warning for DA: There's mention of Ammonia!

Re: Not sure how much longer they will be able to keep crunching in the UK

marysduby,

have you missed this line by DA?
Man has such a small impact on Climate that for all intents and purposes it ought to be described as insignificant

Remember the UK Judge ruled men was causing through land use change the loss of snow/glacial cover on Mount Kilimanjaro?

No longer it's
Oh MY GOD!!

It's

Oh MY MEN!!

Just that you/we understand who's doing it on a global scale and we can actually measure it.

Have a restful day
(We celebrate the national liberation day, so it will be extremely quite and save to climb on the push-bike and cycle down the mountain, and push it up of course)

Sure enough she will have to with that deep sea oil well [4500 feet down] an estimated 160,000 liters [~40,000 gallons] of oil daily off in the Mexican Gulf, so has the US coast guard observed in latest report. Maybe it's the diesel coming out, but crude and diesel have different obvious appearances.

edit: of course, when it's about oil, the Houston Chronicle has something on it:

Climate change isn't about what man can do to the world, it's about what the world can do to man.
All of the ******* environmentalists should man up an say that they are afraid of dying, and that's what this global warming scam is really all about.

When the planet is done with us, we will be gone and there isn't a ***** thing that you can do about it.

Man up girly men! We are on a ride that you have no control over!

Poof!
