Re: Not sure how much longer they will be able to keep crunching in the UK

The sun is waking from its (relative) slumber. Here is an ultraviolet image from the new Solar Dynamics Observatory. What will it be like when it is NOT quiet in a few years?

Beautiful picture--i can remember 78 or 79 we had radio type storms from the Suns activity.I guess it was a extreme example

As with the flu-aids-disease-Mother Nature will find a way

Sure enough she will have to with that deep sea oil well [4500 feet down] an estimated 160,000 liters [~40,000 gallons] of oil daily off in the Mexican Gulf, so has the US coast guard observed in latest report. Maybe it's the diesel coming out, but crude and diesel have different obvious appearances.

edit: of course, when it's about oil, the Houston Chronicle has something on it:

I read the article--i have long been worried about this kind of situation

It's the 25th Anniversary of the Chernobyl Disaster today

It's amazing that in that 25 years through the application of spurious climate fearmongering Nuclear Power is now claimed to be the cleanest safest and carbon neutral form of power !!!

How soon (they think) we forget

Disappearing?

2010 is currently effectively running 40 days later in the melting season than 2006

Are we being spun a lie?

I'd say so
