Re: Not sure how much longer they will be able to keep crunching in the UK

Florence is yet another storm not technically a Hurricane as it made landfall !!

Peak sustained wind speed recording at Wilmington Airport less than 10 miles inland from where Florence made landfall at Wrightsville Beech = 64.5mph

10 miles per hour slower than the bottom of the Category 1 windspeed required for the definition of Hurricane

Climate Hoax: Not A Single G-20 Country Is Close To Hitting CO2 Emission Targets

Environmentalism: A new report calls the lie on the grand Paris climate change treaty. None of the promised cuts in CO2 emissions that 200-plus countries made will come close to preventing a climate "catastrophe." And many of the industrialized nations aren't even living up to the promises they did make.

Re: Not sure how much longer they will be able to keep crunching in the UK

Well that may be the reason why french people will manifest on saturday against higher taxes the government impose on oil -mainly on gasoil for diesel motors.
The official reason is for ecology transition of the economy.

Interesting to note that news:

"Researchers walk back major ocean warming result"

-Late last month, a team of researchers said Earth’s oceans had warmed 60% more than anyone had realized. Now that result appears unlikely, since a mathematician and climate contrarian has uncovered a scientific error-

from EarthSky here

the article say "This is good news. It is less certain today that Earth’s oceans are 60 percent warmer than we thought (although they may still be that warm)."

No alarm bells then but for how long?
