Thank you for the links, Capt. Joe
Normally I, living in Denmark of which Greenland is a part, have my attention on
the Arctic ice, but today the news drew my attention to the Himalayan ice cover melting at a fast pace.

Germany Could Slow Phase-Out of Coal
BERLIN —

Germany’s phasing out of coal-fired power stations could be delayed beyond 2038 if the deadline creates problems for the security of electricity supply, a senior legislator in Chancellor Angela Merkel’s party said.

Northern Hemisphere Snow Cover Jan 2019

Area 47,239,000 sqkms
Average 46,866,000 sqkms
Ranked 26th in the last 53

It's about as average an average average could be with it being a tiny bit more than average

Let's just say snowfall isn't going to be a thing of the past

Re: Not sure how much longer they will be able to keep crunching in the UK

Hi Gerald

Germany was implementing new Lignite burning Power Stations as our Coal Power Stations in the UK were being shutdown due to the EU's Large Combustion Plant Directive...

Our Power Supply is now Gas and Wind Powered in the majority

http://www.gridwatch.templar.co.uk/

This is a good thing. Nuclear becomes less of the mix by the day - which is great news

The UK demand for electrical power gets less every year. The implementation of LED lighting and efficiency improvements everywhere + the shutting down of much of the UK's heavy industry ... means the lights have stayed on so far

confused Re: Not sure how much longer they will be able to keep crunching in the UK

Another month whistles by and our terrifyingly stable Climate remains terrifyingly stable

And where is the peer review for that statement? confused nerd thinking

169,079,692 Individual Temperature Records in the database since 1st Jan 2011 from NOAA's NWS service

That speaks pretty loudly dont you think?, the NOAA arent some bunch of conspiracy nuts with an agenda and i'd rather listen to scientific fact than some airheads whose peer review consists entirely of - this is so because I say so and I can quote people who play to my particular narrative.

https://www.noaa.gov/

Sounds like that just a whole of data to me. So, what are the scientists saying about all that data? confused
Airheads...ie. people that's going to say things I know I will disagree with? biggrin

The was a time when the majority of scientists asserted that the earth was flat and only a few - who were roundly criticised and cow towed said otherwise.

Yes it is a whole load of data, unfortunately it doesn’t play to your narrative so let’s just ignore it yeah. People that say things I know i’ll disagree with are airheads - of course wink

Very true, but you or I or anyone in my family's tree was born back then...if that's not reaching, I don't know what is! biggrin biggrin

I didn't ignore anything. You are the one that ignored my question....So, what are the scientists saying about all that data?

It isn’t reaching, the point if that statement - and sorry if it went right over your head is simple, just because a majority say something it doesn’t make it so, one resenting voice can be correct. Besides I’m not going to take anyone seriously who talks to his imaginary friend

Just one interesting item from Polar Portal
This is on of the places where the water comes from
.... we'll see where it ends unless a super volcano or two will intervene.
