We'll see that ice return we are heading back down to a much less active Sun

...the Sun drives our Climate - not a trace life giving gas that makes up just 0.04% of our atmosphere aka CO2

Yes, but it's not the CO2...as much as the technology, heating, waste heat, etc. cool

All of which isn't captured by the "greenhouse" of CO2 and radiates into Space.

The Sun delivers as much heat energy to the Earth's surface in 1 1/2 hours than the worldwide power consumption from all sources for a whole year - once again we are insignificant

Our Climate is moderated by the wonderful states of H2O

You have your opinion, I have mine. Let's agree to disagree!

Another piece in the debate:

Climate change: Huge costs of warming impacts in 2018 Source BBC 27 Dec 2018

Will we succeed to manage it ?

Re: Not sure how much longer they will be able to keep crunching in the UK

From the horses mouth - The IPCC

In sum, a strategy must recognise what is possible. In climate research and modelling, we should recognise that we are dealing with a coupled nonlinear chaotic system, and therefore that the long-term prediction of future climate states is not possible. The most we can expect to achieve is the prediction of the probability distribution of the system’s future possible states by the generation of ensembles of model solutions. This reduces climate change to the discernment of significant differences in the statistics of such ensembles. The generation of such model ensembles will require the dedication of greatly increased computer resources and the application of new methods of model diagnosis. Addressing adequately the statistical nature of climate is computationally intensive, but such statistical information is essential.

We can only ever tend towards the answer and this is the truth of climate science

Re: Not sure how much longer they will be able to keep crunching in the UK

Alged all of the items identified by the BBC are just weather

Hurricanes and Flooding and Heatwaves have always been with us - and always will be.

What you need to know when reading a "The end of the World is nigh" piece by the BBC is that they are the mouthpiece for Climate Change Propaganda in the UK, followed up by Sky and then the Guardian in print.

These weather effects have greater financial impact because things cost more these days and there's more planning and health and safety legislation to prevent further loss of life than ever before - all of which play into the cost of restoration after such an event.

Lost earnings and rebuilding after a Hurricane is now very expensive. But a land falling Hurricane in the USA isn't unusual, in fact in recent years the USA has had a dearth of Hurricanes. To suggest that the 2 making land fall in 2018 were fueled by man made climate change is a scientific nonsense (see post immediately above) .... but that will never stop the BBC making such claims

The problem with global warming is that there are too many people producing too much hot air arguing this way and that when it is not possible to prove it definitively.
