----------------------------------------http://www.metoffice.gov.uk/news/releases/archive/2013/march-snow-disruption The projections to the end of March in the UK means that the anomalous anomaly is set to last out the month http://www.metoffice.gov.uk/hadobs/hadcet/cet_info_mean.html March 1.6C below average to date Year to date 0.75C below average Wasn't 0.7C all of the warming seen in the 20th Century as the Sun became increasingly active? To ape Twain Reports of alarming warming are greatly exaggerated Samuel ![]() |

As I have been pointing out since the beginning of this thread
----------------------------------------The boss of the energy firm SSE has warned [today] that "there is a very real risk of the lights going out" in Britain. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/business-21878059 Not sure how long we will be able to keep crunching in the UK https://news.google.com/news/rtc?ncl=dd2p_yzY_6k_UUMoXkUSer2DXpSPM&topic=b this is now almost upon us ...and what is the cause? See http://www.environmentlaw.org.uk/rte.asp?id=54 These all apply to the UK ! The one that is now actively turning off fully functional, fully paid for non-nuclear power stations is this one http://www.environment-agency.gov.uk/business/sectors/32613.aspx and yet the reality we face in the UK with respect to Climate is this http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-21885817 Heaven save us from the catastrophic warming ! Now who is to blame for taking us back to what soon will be the literal Dark Age? ![]() [Edit 4 times, last edit by David Autumns at Mar 21, 2013 11:41:53 PM] |

http://www.guardian.co.uk/environment/2009/oct/08/kingsnorth-activists-protest It takes true genius to turn coal fired power stations into a greater menace that their nuclear cousins! For those of you who think we have any effect on the Climate check out the reality of the allegedly "disappearing" North Pole here http://www.ijis.iarc.uaf.edu/en/home/seaice_extent.htm The red line is 2009 I wonder how long it will be before the lights go out and all the benefits to society Electricity brings turn intermittent. Break out the Tilly Lamps folk it's 1973 again (Knreed I really need a shaking head in disbelief smiley )Buy a warm winter coat today it is going to be horrible this year Dave I wasn't wrong either was I? ![]() |

March 2013 in the UK is currently trading in the lower 50 of the last 354 years
----------------------------------------The last time there was a colder March was 1969 (44 years ago) I realise that it's only the 22nd but looking at the forecast this average temp [3.6C] is unlikely to increase by the 31st http://www.metoffice.gov.uk/hadobs/hadcet/cet_info_mean.html ![]() |

http://www.metoffice.gov.uk/hadobs/hadcet/cet_info_mean.html
----------------------------------------In the UK our March up to the 23rd is now colder than the already below average January 2013 Year to date 0.86C below average If an increase of 0.7C over 100 year was a portent of our all impending doom What's a March running 1.9C below normal mean???? Panic !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Not p.s. it's now going to be the 2nd April before temps return to average so that 1.9C might be 2 or more below average Sek et al please explain why our Globe is trending cooler if the CO2 hypothesis is correct. This can't be on account of the Sun Sek as you claim it is constant Aren't we like a frog in a pan of water over the flame oblivious to our peril until it is too late Al said so. I must be hallucinating again because I'm seeing Snow outside the Window. I know it must just be my vivid imagination or maybe put there deliberately by those that don't buy into the consensus. It can't possibly be because it's pigging freezing Make it a good 'un Dave ![]() |
