Re: Not sure how much longer they will be able to keep crunching in the UK

They just said on the evening news, that this has been the coldest march in Scotland since 1962. I do hope it warms up here soon, as my early potatoes are supposed to be planted in about a week.

Re: Not sure how much longer they will be able to keep crunching in the UK

Hi Whl.

Yep 1962 average 2.8C we're at 3C for March 2013 but there's still time wink

http://www.metoffice.gov.uk/hadobs/hadcet/cet_info_mean.html

March 2013 has (so far) got the joint 20th lowest average temperature in Central England for the last 354 years alongside 1675,1684,1693, and 1709

So currently the coldest March in the last 51 years (which makes it the coldest March I've experienced...just wink)

2.6C below the 1961-90 March Average

The year to date 1.15C below the 1961-90 average

We can rely on the politicians to not let a bit of reality get in the way of their plans though. The "it's warming...alarmingly!" meme will continue unabated

Unlike the actual warming wink

Have you seen the 'Africa for Norway' charity single on youtube? Nice to know that someone cares about us freezing Europeans.

Oh marvelous

http://www.telegraph.co.uk/finance/newsbysect...h-poll-tax-on-energy.html

I think we in the UK should all be paying more Tax on our energy because of the alarming warming we are all suffering from. Our energy in the UK is just so unbelievably cheap when compared to our friends elsewhere around the Globe.

There might be a modicum of sarcasm in the paragraph above - see if you can spot it biggrin

Re: Not sure how much longer they will be able to keep crunching in the UK

With 1 day of March left to go

Average Central England Temperature for March 2013 2.9C

2.7C below the 1961-1990 average

Joint 17th lowest March Temp in the last 354 alongside 1807, 1814 and 1865

The Gas and Electricity Suppliers (+ Her Majesty's Gov) are raking it in as we try to keep warm.

Whl. with 1 day to go matching 1962's 2.8C is still very likely

Re: Not sure how much longer they will be able to keep crunching in the UK

http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-21988278

Coldest [UK] Easter Sunday on record, [UK] Met Office confirms

Now then about this unprecedented alarming warming which will cause the average temperature to rise by 6C by the end of this century on account of the fact that CO2 now makes up 0.03968% of the atmosphere.

Where is it?

Published today the Alarmists are still going with this

http://thinkprogress.org/climate/2013/03/31/1...cott-et-al-faq/?mobile=nc

and they still think to claim this is rational demonstrable clear thinking that will be borne out in reality

Can you see the anomalous errata in this proposed graph?

Here it is as a forum friendly sized graph that updates hourly

The graph above is (at this moment in time) the result of 50,199,139 individual temperature measurements taken around the Globe since the beginning of 2011 cool

Note: The above is preliminary. I'm still working through the annual audit so that we keep comparing apples with apples. I moved house and jobs early this year hence the delay. We lost ~ 20 weather stations during 2012 so not quite apples with apples at the mo but I'll get there - apologies progress is glacial - It's looking like mid May sad

Still, a whole load closer to reality than the graph in the post above it!
