Another bunch of fools who will need rescuing after their failure to highlight the effect of climate change on the ice around the polar regions by being met with around 5 million square kilometers of the the hard white stuff at minima

"No one has ever attempted this before, so we are quite literally heading off on a voyage into the unknown."

That might be because we haven't swallowed the propaganda hook line and sinker and we who bother to take a look know it isn't exactly disappearing as foretold by the great Wizard of Gore (Pay no attention to that man behind the curtain)

What we had suspected

Otherwise we would already have been wiped out by runaway Global Warming in times gone by

Re: Not sure how much longer they will be able to keep crunching in the UK

July's temperature is in - the baseline continues

After over 13,635,000 individual temperature measurements taken from around the globe since the beginning of the year we have....

January 2011 1.44C
February 2011 2.90C
March 2011 6.98C
April 2011 12.26C
May 2011 16.16C
June 20111 20.43C
July 2011 22.79C

I suspect this will be the maximum monthly temperature for 2011. The lowest temperature occurred 50 days after the Winter Solstice (wrt the Northern Hemisphere) and the 30 day rolling average has now slowed to a rate of change of just 1/1000 of a degree C per hour. All things being equal (which they never are) somewhere around the 10th August we should reach a plateau

Not long now until we will have a rolling yearly average temperature updated hourly for planet Earth

It crunches Ok too smile

(the figure for December 2010 was 2.22C wink)

So we are 2 months in to the 2011 Atlantic Hurricane season and we have had a bit of a breeze arrive on shore in Mexico

Lots of circles being drawn around clumps of clouds going on here

So...

When was the last time a Hurricane made landfall in the USA?

(Wasn't it foretold, by the great profit, that on account of our addition to the 0.039369% of the atmosphere that is CO2 there would be more Hurricanes and of greater intensity thinking)
