Re: Not sure how much longer they will be able to keep crunching in the UK

Peer reviewed statement on what is, if you haven't swallowed Gore hook line and sinker, clearly as obvious as the nose on your face

http://www.noc.soton.ac.uk/soes/staff/ejr/Roh...Geografiska%20Annaler.pdf

Abstract

Although considerable attention has been paid to the record of temperature change over the last few centuries, the range and rate of change of atmospheric circulation and hydrology remain elusive. Here, eight latitudinally well-distributed (pole–equator–pole), highly resolved (annual to decadal) climate proxy records are presented that demonstrate major changes in these variables over the last 2000 years. A comparison between atmospheric 14C and these changes in climate demonstrates a first-order relationship between a variable Sun and climate. The relationship is seen on a global scale.

"demonstrates a first-order relationship between a variable Sun and climate"

who would have thought? laughing

3 years on and still there's more

The only way it can be claimed to be inexorably disappearing is if there was less

Just the increase since 2007, even at this late stage of the Summer melt, is still bigger than Afghanistan

Have you tried hiding Afghanistan down the back of the Settee? I'm slowly exporting it as dust on my boots but it might take a while wink

less volume = less ice. It doesn't matter how big around it is.

Piomass is a model i.e. not reality

Until Cryosat 2 comes up with the real data let's not claim something that isn't based on fact shall we?

Re: Not sure how much longer they will be able to keep crunching in the UK

as for the Sun is a constant and Man's emissions of CO2 easily outweigh any naturally caused Climate variability theory

p.s. we have seen the forcing graph a thousand times I think science has moved on since the IPCC first published those indisputable "facts" as it has with Mann's Hockey Stick graph of Gore Scissor Lift infamy

Re: Not sure how much longer they will be able to keep crunching in the UK

KPMG review finds IPCC chief Pachauri innocent of financial misdealings or conflict of interest, UK Telegraph apologizes for smearing him:

http://climateprogress.org/2010/08/26/ipcc-ch...iew-telegraph-apologizes/

“No evidence was found that indicated personal fiduciary benefits accruing to Pachauri from his various advisory roles that would have led to a conflict of interest.”
