biggrin

I can feel an Oliver Twist coming on. That strange sense of deja vu

wink

marysduby is that No2? Our Met Office had it down like this http://www.metoffice.gov.uk/corporate/pressoffice/2010/pr20100617.html

"This would make it one of the most active tropical storm seasons on record."

Unfortunately this is from the same crew predicting "Mild Winter" (The worst winter for 30 years) and "Barbeque Summer" (the summer we never had)

Maybe they should start by looking here http://sohowww.nascom.nasa.gov/sunspots/ and give the big bright thing in the sky a little more credit in their predictions - it's faltering after a prolonged low http://www.swpc.noaa.gov/SolarCycle/

After another washout Summer (Last decent Summer in the UK... 2006) I would say we are heading for yet another lousy Winter like 2009/10 again sad

Would the Old Order Amish really care about this, unless they were in a radiation zone?

No they would not think twice about it nor would the Mennonites that moved away from here --some moved to Pennsylvania and Canada--mostly they live like one hundred years ago---i grew up in a Mennonite Colony and they wouldnt have tvs in the house although some bought cars before they moved If thats what you mean--?? wink
