sad Re: Final Batches of CEP Phase 1 have been loaded.

It's going to be close for my attempt to hit my Emerald before it finishes.

Sort of the same here. I'm new to the badge chasing game and will get Gold in next two days. I was hoping to get Ruby on this project, but it will be tight getting that extra 90 days with an average of 3.8 CPU days per day. Will have investigate this caching thing..... smile

Re: Final Batches of CEP Phase 1 have been loaded.

As I mentioned I would get a better estimate for everyone. Currently we are sitting at 24 days of work waiting to be loaded into BOINC. There is about 2 days of work loaded into BOINC on a normal day. This means the estimate is around 26 days of new work for CEP1.

Also, a note on Sek's charts...His estimates were pretty close if we were completing the work units that caused a majority of the error 29's a few weeks ago. This caused his estimate to be off target as members have noticed.

Hope this helps,
-Uplinger

Re: Final Batches of CEP Phase 1 have been loaded.

I have already noticed since this message thread started a larger occurance of NO CEP work avliable, I normally see this once in a while not multiple times back to back.

Re: Final Batches of CEP Phase 1 have been loaded.

That is due to more people focusing on CEP badges (filling their caches) and not any change in the number of CEP WUs available per day.

That was my pont.
The sudden demand for CEP WU means there are fewer to go around.

Hm, depending on the supply, I just might get Sapphire. It's too tight to try though, so I'll let my cache run dry on CEP. That'll just give me Emerald. Since supply-wise there will be no change it will not make a difference for the project but someone may get lucky with that year.

Have fun!

So for the rest of us it would be a good time to start the next round of Betas

Crunching along nicely. If my pets and wife would stop disconnecting my computers accidently I will make Saphire. at 1 year 174 days with about 130 days of WU's in cache should make it. Lifes simple pleasures, crunching. tongue tongue tongue
