I'm happy to tell today I made it to the Sapphire badge
---------------------------------------- I aborted some CEP tasks and I'm out of CEP, so there will be some more tasks for the members who might need them. I will focus on IADS now, because I've got a long way to go from gold to next badge levels and time is running out soon. Since I joined WCG in december 2007 I never saw projects ending up to a few months ago, starting with DDDT1, CEP1 and soon IADS I would not be surprised anymore if Rice would also end up sooner than expected, but I'm going off-topic now ![]() Happy crunching!
Greetings,
Arjan ![]() |

Looks more and more as if members had their CEP1 gratification, the validation based on morning figures dropping to about ~8.4 - 8.5 k work units. Validations on FLU1 are still climbing i.e. that's were many went. That's good for those having set stiffer targets on CEP1 buying these maybe an extra day of new work supply.

But, is an Emerald year 365 days or 365.2465 days ... we'll know in 12 long hours, or longer if the wingman wants to keep me in suspense Sek, I just asked Kevin and he said it was set to 365.0. I assume that your test has proven this to be true. also, 8.1 days estimated left of new work. -Uplinger |

Yup, with 1:49 hours overshoot instead of 1:40 showing on MG, 1 year = 365.00.

Good for "super-crunchers", not good for anyone else?
It is really tough to feel a part of this project since it has been so long since I have gotten even one work unit. It is hard, too, to promote to others since they are very unlikely to be able to participate. |

It's been known for longer that CEP1 was limited edition of work on a daily basis. The only way to be guaranteed to get them at any volume was to make this in My Projects or in the Device Profile the preferred selection with the backup option ticked so that the client would fetch other work if CEP was out of quota for the day.
----------------------------------------Sorry, but that had to be also because CEP1 put a big load on the server storage and network.

8.1 days estimated left of new work. -Uplinger That's a really significant slow down. Two days wall clock only used 0.4 days of work unit supply! That implies something on the order of a 60% slowdown. I'll be contributing to this as I'm also slowly aborting work I no longer need. Edit: Oops! I think I just aborted too much work...I may end up three days short! ![]() [Edit 3 times, last edit by Former Member at Sep 10, 2009 7:59:10 PM] |
