As there seems to be a reduction in validations, my impression is that quite a few have achieved their contribution goals and moved to the next science project to end. Anyway, yes I guess you can.
----------------------------------------How to compute: Take the latest WU number you received e.g. E001100 and deduct from the last batch E001155 in this phase. Then you got 55 batches each having 2000 tasks (quorum 2) for a grand total of 110,000. Daily validation is ~10,000 average but slowing, which suggests in this sample there is new work to be send out for the next 10-11 days. (and don't look at me when I got it wrong )

and don't look at me when I got it wrong You're giving us the best information you have to hand. Without it we wouldn't have much of clue. I think we all know that you can only work with the information you have and that there are many unpredictable variables which can change instantly... like the whole Rice/Flu end times. [cliché] We shouldn't be shooting the messanger or killing the goose that laid the golden egg! [/cliché] Keep up the good work ![]() |

Bonjour Sekerob
Your Performance Chart is very interressant for following the evolution of the project. Is it possible to find the similar schema for the other project ? Thank you Patrick |

"I dont want to not finish any in time". How many cores is that? On a Quad that's 28 days, taking 95% efficiency that's ~26.5 days worth of CPU time. You got how much already complete per My Grid and how much in Pending Validation per the Result Status page. Then you know how much more you need to complete. Sept.14 or 15 looks like the last day of work, so if your I7 arrives today and is set up, you can do with hyperthreading about 7.5 days per day. That's another 75 days CPU time till then plus what's buffered by then... another 7 days times X cores. I knew my english was bad, but I've been living in America for 30 years what can I say Anyway thanks for the info, it won't unfortunately get here today, or this weekend, and Monday is a Holiday here in Canada so don't know if Fed ex is delivering... If Tues, with 12 cores running I should be fine, should only need like 5 days bufferI'm really not that NUTS for a badge, but I'm competetive. The rush trying to get to 1 year is quite fun. "when you get the i7 up and running get BOINC on it right away don't worry about anything like games or office. Do not turn it off or stop BOINC for any reason" <---------Steve And there will be NO gaming on the new alienware, til the RUBY turns GREEN! I Promise ;) ![]() [Edit 1 times, last edit by Jack007 at Sep 4, 2009 3:30:09 PM] |

Jack - FLU is scheduled to finish sending out new WUs in another 30 days or so ... games might have to wait a bit longer
I am *rushing* for 1 year on everything ... started with the sudden DDDT announcement, now I have one last CEP in PV which will put me there and the race for FLU started a few days ago ... I should make it the first week of October. More projects finishing means more projects starting (at least second round for some of them) ... progress is good mid year slow down complete and reversing ... I bet we will see some truely fantastic numbers before the end of the year. ![]() |

FLU NOW, man thought i had til early next year on RICE as my next project. Oh well Diablo 3 isn't coming out til at LEAST Christmas if not later. Hey STEVE guess WHAT???? I checked my email and my Alienware that was in Miami yesterday, was in Memphis at 3:00am is now in EDMONTON (ALBERTA CANADA) 30km or so from me. So my arse is planted in my chair with the curtains open looking for any suspicious delivery vehicle. So Flu I'm at 90 days, with 12 Days of processsing each day, another 22 days to get 1 year, and another 30 days to get Sapphire.
