eLDee, what was the outcome of your 770?
----------------------------------------Picked up several 771, so pushed that ahead of the queue. Got 4 of 767 in queue, Result status page saying 2 ended in error, so holding them in suspend till the next time needing to fetch work, then suspending them again. NOT aborting them... that would just pass the bucket to another unsuspecting cruncher.

Is this problem more common with unsupported clients, or are members with unsupported clients more likely to report problems?
An interesting little brainteaser. This thread demonstrates just how fragmented the BOINC versions in the wild have become. Dozens of them - all of them supposedly "recommended" by Berkeley. Berkeley, however, offer no support for any of them. |

Is this problem more common with unsupported clients, or are members with unsupported clients more likely to report problems? I've got 2.5 pages of errors and 1.5 page of valids, all for the last ~3 days. I'm using the version from WCG (6.2.28). I've had errors on machines running Vista x64, XP x64, and XP x32. All of the error codes are -131. Here's the first one: <core_client_version>6.2.28</core_client_version> <![CDATA[ <stderr_txt> Calling initGraphics() INFO: No state to restore. Berkeley, however, offer no support for any of them. What this really shows is a project that should be in BETA. The only project that I have seen that has run like this in the past is AFRICANCLIMATE@HOME. Run this as a BETA project acording to the BETA rules and at least we will get time for the invalid results. |

These types of one-off novel science programs will always have a quirk here or there and the project scientist did post to have identified the issue on Saturday already! There are 2 unexpected here due large mols:
-----------------------------------------131 too large an output file, exceeding 15Mb. Easily fixable. As an experiment I've hacked a value, to see if it get's past that and report normally. Sure the PV will become problematic, it merely a test to confirm that the application is sound, from a user perspective. -161 to large a disk use, exceeding 300Mb. Easily adjustable. The techs just don't like for projects to go in oversize. Easily fixable. ACAH, you mentioned it, used at times 1Gb. This warrants return to Beta?
