As there seems to be a problem with batch 765 (& maybe 766), would it be a good idea to temporarily suspend crunching on CEP & move those resources to a different project? (by changing the profile to something else, suspend all pending 765s & then increasing the cache size) I have a (dual core) computer dedicated to CEP at the moment that is just starting on it's 765s (both under 3% done with 6 more 765s in the queue). While I don't particularly want to stop working on CEP at the moment (chasing that silly gold badge ), I also don't want my computer's work time to be wasted if I could switch to something else while this issue is resolved (or if you need more 765 test batches I could let them go & report back much later today/early tomorrow). If it's just a matter of the back room people increasing the size of the files that they will accept & then resending the information then my switch to a different project idea isn't needed. However if that time & effort is just going to be thrown out, I would rather devote my resources to a project that is running smoothly at the moment. Edit: I just noticed that a different machine picked up a couple of batch 767s. If it would be useful I can push them to the front of the queue & see if the same problem exists there as well. They however have an estimated completion time of 21 hours so it will take a while to get any results back. All depends on how quick the techs are to respond and how much work anyone has in cache this moment. Suspending any task for WCG will stop work fetch, so that's a dead avenue. Changing the project choice in the device profile, increasing the cache and then suspend the suspect tasks would allow continued crunching without aborting. What I'd like to hear is if anyone is finishing 765 or 766 or 767 successfully. Is it just some rogues and of course those most likely coming to the board. Somewhere in past there was this exceed size event but cant remember if a hack allowed them to go over... think not, though I know the value to alter, it also sitting in the actual job and those are made temper proof. Think for now to wait for official word. edit: NB: Aborting tasks only expands the problem. The work will immediately be reissued to others without correction, so please don't! thanks

My computer hardly ever returns errors so I thought I would get some CEP's to see if I could return some error free.
Just got two 767's pushed them to front of the list estimated time to complete 10:38 will report back tonight. Just wondering is this error problem on all systems i.e. Windows, Mac, Linux |

I have had 26 CEP WU error out in the last 12 hours, 19 from batch 765 and 7 from batch 766. All have the same log message:

Question 1: Will someone post when this is resolved? Until then I have suspended the few I have left in my queue and have removed CEP from my list of projects. Question 2: Given that this appears to be a wide rangeing problem is there any chance we can receive credit for the time spent/lost on these? Bill P
