Re: Interesting news articles about the flu

in TV in Portugal they were saying that a person, 12 hours after taking the Swine Flu Vaccine died...
Why didn't they say anything about the other ones who died only a few hours after drinking a glass of water? laughing

Apparently TV people are not wiser in Portugal than in other countries where we can hear similar stupid reports.

There must be about 250 deaths per day in Portugal, so the probability that some have been vaccinated cannot be null.

Re: Interesting news articles about the flu

Side Effects Not Always Due to Swine Flu Shot

Hundreds of people on any given day will die, develop the paralyzing Guillain-Barre syndrome or have spontaneous abortions, and that doesn't necessarily mean that their swine flu vaccination shot was to blame, a new study says.
As millions of people worldwide begin getting the new swine flu shot, public health officials are bracing for rumors about dangerous side effects linked to the vaccine.....

Re: Interesting news articles about the flu

If you are going to take the jab, dont drink, dont take drugs, dont overwork, dont let yourself get stressed out, and do take it easy for a few days to allow you immune system to work as normal.

If you are not going to take the jab, dont drink, dont take drugs, dont overwork, dont let yourself get stressed out, and do take it easy now and again to allow you immune system to work normally.

Oh, and be happy!

Re: Interesting news articles about the flu

I receive medical treatment from the U.S. Military. Yesterday, I saw my PCM, and asked him if I should come in for treatment if I had the H1N1 flu and was not dying, or if I should just stay home. He told me that Tamiflu was only for high-risk flu cases, and probably he would only treat the symptoms. He told me if I get the flu, I should come in if I am wheezing, or have tightness of the chest, etc.

On another note, Pueblo County (Colorado) health officials had a free H1N1 vaccination clinic today for high risk groups. Since less than the expected number of high-risk people showed up, they opened it up to teachers, law enforcement personnel, young people under the age of 24, and high-risk adults under the age of 64.

See "Flu Shots Expanded Saturday in Pueblo."

Re: Interesting news articles about the flu

One swine flu shot enough for pregnant women, two for kids

A single dose of swine flu vaccine produces a robust immune response in pregnant women, one of the groups at high risk of dying from (A)H1N1 influenza, but young children need two shots, US clinical trials have shown.
"The immune responses seen in healthy pregnant women are comparable to those seen in healthy adults at the same time point after a single vaccination, and the vaccine has been well tolerated," Anthony Fauci, director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases, said in a statement....
