I switched GUP2 with GPU3 just to eliminate 3 being a bad card. No change. I put monitors on 2 and 3. No change. In every instance #3 does not crunch. sad I searched for DVI terminators but can only find adapters and gender benders.
I have to go back to my other job as farm worker. laughing Anyone want summer squash? I'm up to my knees in them. Also green beans. I finshed 24 quarts of tomato sauce. That should last me for a year. I should have corn in a week or so.
If anyone has anyother GPU ideas let me know.

I don't know about 3 GPus for GPUGrid. Are you using XP or Vista?

I know on Vista for Folding@Home you have to use dummy plugs.

Vista 64 bit
Can you show me a link to what dummy plugs? I can't find anything at cablestogo but then I don't know what I am looking for. wink
Thanks!

EDIT: I found this at overclockers
http://www.overclock.net/overclock-net-foldin...30-second-dummy-plug.html
Appears one has to make them ... yuk! wink

That's what I have. =) I'm currently folding for EVGA for something at the moment.

Hey! Thanks for the help! Unfortunately my nearest Radio Shack is 30 miles away. Guess I will have to order some. Since it is a "dummy" plug ... it should be a piece of cake for me ... can't get any dummer than me. laughing biggrin laughing

I can't guarantee it will work though.. try asking at GPUGrid forums.

Edit: Did you go to display properties and extend your monitor for each card?

Re: smilesmile Join "MyOnlineTeam" Today - Chapter 36 smilesmile

I am amazed ... it worked! I found a small electronics store not too far away that had the resistors. Built the plugs (they lied it takes 3 min not 30 seconds wink ) and it is running on all 3 cylinders. wink

6/27/2009 12:07:16 AM CUDA device: GeForce 9800 GT (driver version 18618, compute capability 1.1, 512MB, est. 60GFLOPS)

6/27/2009 12:07:16 AM CUDA device: GeForce 9800 GT (driver version 18618, compute capability 1.1, 512MB, est. 60GFLOPS)

The down side is the middle card is now quite warm @ 80C. sad

The other down side is I have accomplished absolutely nothing I was supposed to do today. Oh well, tomorrow is another day. Too hot to be outside now. Maybe I'll start on the other machine.

Thanks again for all the help!!!!!!

biggrin +1 for me.

I'll give you +5 and throw in an ATABOY too. biggrin
BTW: I found a bug in Precision. When you restart it it picks up the settings for GPU1 and GPU3 but not GPU2. It is repeatable. That was the heat problem as it was going back to automatic and running at 30% instead of 100%. All 3 are between 69C and 74C now. cool

I don't think so unless there was a new version today. As I said many posts above, because of the new MoBo I had to do a complete clean install of Vista to convenience MS that I owned the OS angry . I downloaded a new copy of Precision from their site yesterday.

If you set the settings and don't open precision again, you should be fine.

You can use GPU-Z to verify your clock rates/temperatures.
