Re: smilesmile Join "MyOnlineTeam" Today - Chapter 36 smilesmile

I think we'll see us start to rise again.

Rise gain? confused We are major players and crunch an amazing amount of wu's. At today's rate, in:
30 days - #167
60 days - #152
90 days - #134
That ain't chicken feed. laughing biggrin laughing There are 82,675 teams at BOINCStats. hypnotized

Tomorrow, it's The IsraAliens (what a cool name!)

peace

Rise again at WCG to be precise. As for across all projects, I think I can recall us back in the 280's (260s for certain) so yes, we have DEFINITELY come a long way.

Choice -- breath or crunch. With the hot weather, I have been popping a circuit breaker regularly. In order to not do so, I will be shutting down my main crunchers awaiting cooler weather. sad sad sad

I know the feeling ... forecast for 103F this weekend here. Just get the builds done and it's too hot to run them. crying I know the circuit breaker drill too. I need to spred them across three 20 amp's but that would entail major CAT5e changes. sad

EDIT: MOT just passed 10 million credits at GPUGrid. applause applause applause

It would seem to me that the projects here at WCG are as worthy or more worthy than those at any other DC place...of course that is highly subjective. If they are, then it would seem that points are the draw to other DC projects?

Well, for me the science projects are the draw. You crunch what you are interested in and hope will prove results. WCG's are no better or worse. Credits, like money, is just a way of keeping score. biggrin

Yes, interests vary and change too. Part of the thinking behind a presence at multiple projects is to provide some potential "cross-fertilization". Someone who gets burned out or tired of one project can hopefully be attracted to another rather than walking away from crunching altogether. Likewise with changes in interests and so on. If you can keep them crunching somewhere, you don't lose them.

Thanks ... How? The farm runs on a KVM switch. Just one monitor, keyboard, and mouse for all but the weather station machine.

peace

Each card needs a dummy DVI dongle.
