Re: New Project Beta WUs

Let me kick the open door out of it's hinges: Minus any late / repair jobs about not point not. My client has not gotten any new work in the last 14 hours, only: No work available for your platform (Windows).

Re: New Project Beta WUs

Over the past 24 hours, I have received 4 Beta 6.10 WU's for each of my 3 Linux machines and none for the one running XP. All 4 validated fine --Yay! My cache is 0 days since I heard about the new Betas but I guess the remaining WU's have already been sent out by now crying

If this helps the techs:

2 Beta on an althlon64x2 RHEL5.3
1 Beta on Phenom Fedora10
1 Beta on Centrino 1.6 Fedora10

All Boinc Clients 6.2.15

All WU's completed within 2+ to slightly over 3 hours.

Hope they have more to load smile

Re: New Project Beta WUs

Is this beta windows only? Or have I just been unlucky this time?

Re: New Project Beta WUs

That's normal behaviour for AutoDock.

Autodock - thanks for the hint wink. Interesting target too..

TRKB was in all the WU's I've seen:
TRKB, a member of the insulin receptor subfamily of Tyr protein kinases, is a receptor for brain-derived neurotrophic factor (BDNF), neurotrophin-3 and neurotrophin-4/5 but not nerve growth factor (NGF). This Type I membrane protein is involved in the development and/or maintenance of the nervous system. This is a tyrosine-protein kinase receptor. Known substrates for the TRK receptors are SHC, PI-3 kinase, and PLC-gamma-1. Isoform TrkB is widely expressed, mainly in the nervous tissue. In the CNS, expression is observed in the cerebral cortex, hippocampus, thalamus, choroid plexus, granular layer of the cerebellum, brain stem, and spinal cord. In the peripheral nervous system, it is expressed in many cranial ganglia, the ophtalmic nerve, the vestibular system, multiple facial structures, the submaxillary glands, and dorsal root ganglia. Isoform TrkB-T1 is expressed in multiple tissues, mainly in brain, pancreas, kidney and heart. Isoform TrkB-T-Shc is predominantly expressed in brain. TRKB is subject to ligand-mediated auto-phosphorylation. The structure contains 2 immunoglobulin-like C2-type domains and 2 leucine-rich (LRR) repeats.

Re: New Project Beta WUs

My first and so far only beta WU out of this round has finally validated.
BETA_ B200006787_ TrkB_ 0000_ 0-- Valid 3/7/09 06:58:36 3/7/09 17:47:33 4.11 66.2 / 65.4 <-- me
BETA_ B200006787_ TrkB_ 0000_ 1-- Valid 3/7/09 06:58:16 3/8/09 12:29:45 16.55 64.6 / 65.4

That's quite a difference in computing time compared to the other cruncher. Mine's a 2.5GHz Athlon X2 4850e, running Debian Lenny x86_64 and BOINC 6.2.14 at 100% resource share.

Guess on Beta Project

TRKB was in all the WU's I've seen:
Search Google for a combination of TrkB and the diseases we try to fight at WCG. You get plenty of hits for AIDS and Dengue which already use Autodock, but also for Cancer and Muscular Dystrophy.
When I take in account that we are all waiting for the HCMD project to continue, I would place my bet on that. wink

BTW: I got 7 Beta WUs. 6 finished and validated without any problem, 1 still in progress.

Greetings
Thorsten

Yeah I noticed - I think I might know...
