Indeed, forgot about that change notice by Kevin. Saw the 99.8% one yesterday once, but after depleting queue further it started fetching in the duo.

Here's what I did to increase my chances of getting Beta WU's:
Last week I dropped my cache down to .05 when I read about the upcoming Beta. With that setting I always had between 0-2 WU's Ready to Start for my Duo. A new WU would download when one running had about 80 mins. left. When the Beta WU's were released last night, I was lucky enough to have 0 WU's waiting to start. But it was going to be about another 2 hours before my client would request more work. So I bumped my cache setting on the Client from .05 to .10 days. It connected immediately and downloaded 1 Beta WU and 1 for Cancer. I haven't downloaded any other Beta's since then. I feel lucky to have gotten that one since I'm somewhat new to the Grid and I know others have tried thru many Beta tests with no success. To Sekerob - thanks for the feedback on my 3 days vs 1 day deadline question. |

I received 14 beta's last night, already finished 3 average around 8 hrs their is 1 that should be finishing around 13-14hr mark
When the beta's came online I unchecked all of my projects, and I cleared out my cache on the client, after doing that I have been able to download 1-2 WU's at a time I also increased by cache from 3 days to 9, but I should be able to finish all of the WU's in a couple of days with time to spare before the deadline |

I've got many during last night but the spent time with each WU in my Extreme QUAD QX9770 show me that I will have a long way until get conditions to change my badge level... Beta WU's ran very quickly in my machine compared with other reported here... but I'm feel lucky for get this Beta's... hope get more soon !

You could reduce the CPU cycles to increase the run time ;>) SEK good tip, but I'm not running in overclocking any Beta to avoid lost anyone, since lost lots of Beta's during overclockings experiences in the past. So it was ran just at 3.2 GHz (standard processor clock). I can reduce it but think that no make sense enough.

Is this beta windows only? Or have I just been unlucky this time? For sure there are Windows WU's being distributed once I ran many ones. I don't know if there are for other platforms, but receive a message during last night in my windows machine that appear be a tip about it: ... World Community Grid / Message from server: there was work but it was committed to other platforms ...  Good luck !

Could you please inform an estimative about how many WU's there are yet to be distributed for Windows, Linux and Mac plattaforms ? (of course, if is possible inform it...) Thank you in advance !
