Saw a note to say there was a small hick-up. According nelsoc's note there is a bunch of work to come. Also, since the bounce said "work... not for your platform" the suggestion is made that it's multi platform??? Would be good as the CEP delay for MAC/Linux carried some disappointment with it.

How many day after isigned for Beta do I start receiving some WU´s please Just depends... Luck certainly plays a part, as does your cache of WU's, your turnaround time and probably a few other things... No, it's not the case ( a past misconception). Fast return rating is not relevant. If enrolled in Beta and the machine asks for work, it checks first in the beta queue (if the beta feeder is activated by the techs I suppose).

On the other hand, some potential betatesters might shy away from a "mystery project" because they won't support research in a certain area (e.g., cloning) on moral, religious or other grounds. Keeping stumm is a door that swings both ways.
I'm not talking about a detailed syllabus of the new project, just a brief statement about the general area of research. 73, J. Whalen, N6KTC |

One new Beta WU hit one of my machines, too, but ...
BETA_ 00000598_ TrkB_ 0002_ 0-- In Progress 09-03-06 21:09:43 09-03-07 20:55:19 0.00 0.0 / 0.0 <-- mine BETA_ 00000598_ TrkB_ 0002_ 1-- In Progress 09-03-06 21:09:35 09-03-07 22:55:20 0.00 0.0 / 0.0 there is a 2 hour difference in Time Due between the two copies. Does anybody know why? Do copies of other WUs show this difference as well? One little observation: after having reached 3% of completion very quickly it fell back several times from about 3.2% to a bit less than 3.1%. Meanwhile it passed 94%, with about 10 more minutes to go. Core 2 Quad Q6600 at 2.4 GHz, 5.10.45 client, Ubuntu 8.04 64bit. |

We are now Beta Testing an application for an upcoming project. There are a relatively large number of work units available (for a Beta Test, at least) so grab 'em now and work on that Beta Test project badge!

That's normal behaviour for AutoDock.
The deadlines are a little odd, but I suspect it is a result of the zero redundancy task generation, where initially all tasks need a verification copy. |

Are we in a short term holding pattern or can I go to bed and look into the Beta WU in the morning?
