Have a nice and safe trip, Scribe.
Which one of Guitar Man's events will you attend? New Milton or Poole?
Would like to say hello in person.

biggrin

Re: Re:Edwardians

The unsuspecting eye will not see the difference between the showgirl adaption of a German dirndl, the beautiful, authentic Swedish outfits and the Danish traditional clothing which varies enormously from place to place considering the smallness of Denmark.

Couldn't find as good a picture as I would like, but here is a sample:

Re: Re:Edwardians

Then it's good that it isn't you who should be looking for me
at The Lord Nelson in Poole
- would have been easier for me to seek out your caveman outfit

Re: Re:Edwardians

Evening all

A sunny and warm day here so I hope the forecast is similar for Corfe.

Have a good time at the Lord Nelson. I wish I still had my old motorbike to whisk down and join you.

Re: Re:Edwardians

@ blanco ivan: It would be so nice if you could come.
If you want to join us - we are three so far - there must be a way.
You are in London, right?
On my sat-nav computer program MapSource, railway lines criss cross Poole as a tapeworm.

@ Ted: You made a suggestion for an itinerary for York and environs
which included Ted @ Myton on Swale.
I have taken it as an invitation to accompany you and dog on a hike in Myton.
For that purpose, I should like your street address, which I can plot into my sat-nav.
A phone # could be handy as well. If you don't want to state it here, I have my e-mail icon here.
Finally, I should appreciate your recommandation of one or two hotels or inns
- rural, cosy ones would be nice in that area, I imagine.
Would you think it is good for Rosie and me to drive and park in York?
If not, I might be able to take a bus or taxi from the hotel,
as I think I could spend a couple of days there with all you listed.

@ Merle: If you feel like it and are up to it with the medical program looming over you,
I should be very pleased to pay a short visit.
If so, your street address and phone # would be nice, too, and you may, of course,
give it to me in an e-mail that opens when clicking the icon in my posts.
