Weather forcaster states that a Spanish Plume is on it's way over causing heavy rain and thunderstorms across our shores!! Arise sir Francis Drake and let the drummer boy roll your drum, we'll not rest 'till England's rose is in bloom and it's summer once again!! biggrin cool

Well the polls were fairly predictable!, Liberals take a bashing and Scotland seeks it's Independence with the SNP, not sure what happend in Wales, thought they would vote for their own National Party too? as it is Labour made sweeping gains!!

Have a great day all ................. rose good luck

Re: Re:

Cooooeeeeeeeeeee!!!! Merle come out, come out, wherever you are ..

Well, I have come in, instead of coming out, as I was out, in the garden, watering all the poor flowers that have not seen rain for about a month now. Sun, sun, sun - not grumbling obviously - but have to keep going out with the watering can, or sometimes use the watering hose (which insists on keep jumping off the attachment to the tap!! crying Anyway, the plants have all repaid me by growing and blooming - it all looks lovely. wink smile Took the car for a treat this morning (to the garage where they wash them) - dust and grime about an inch thick all over it (due to no rain!! crying devilish ). (You will have gathered by now that we don't often get the wet stuff 'darn sarf'!) wink cool

Hope you are all keeping well. I try to, but it doesn't work very well! So I just keep taking the pills. Having had two knee replacements, I am wondering whether to enquire if they do 'wrist' replacements but somehow I don't think they do. Never mind, we women are good at dealing with pain (as I am sure you have all been told before) so I will soldier on and try not to moan too much. Take care all of you and enjoy the weather!!wink

Re: Re:

Evening all

Sunny and warm again here today, noticeably so when I walked to the supermarket this morning. However, the forecast does suggest that this is the last day.

Regardless of the actual voting system I think it's a splendid idea, used elsewhere, that voting is compulsory and results not just decided by those who can make the effort to walk to the polling station.

I know some of you guys have had serious service experience but I very much liked reading the obit this morning of CPO Claude Choules who died age 110 having served in both World Wars and was, apparently, the last known combatant of the First World War.

Still we are accepting a different view of age. My father was well into his nineties when he died, I have two female cousins a few years older than me and have, today, received a Wedding invitation from my sister who is but three years younger than me.

No wonder governments are becoming concerned about future pension costs.

Your Wrist problem, Its quite clearly due to carrying those heavy Hand bags.
Its a well known Condition " LBS" *
Margaret Thatcher was a high Profile sufferer who somewhat eased things by handbagging political opponents . Her underarm hand bag action was much feared by her cabinet members .

Note how she is Holding her wrist ......

* LBS = Lady Bracknell Syndrome
