Morning all
---------------------------------------- I Would keep the potting shed Door on the Latch Tony We now have to under go the analysis Of the Day, from breakfast to bedtime Reports back from lip readers about the quick asides by the great and the good ? On a more serious note, I am very concerned about safety arrangements at Buckingham Palace .It is an old building and I want to know if loading stresses have been worked out for the balcony I note that the balustrade had been covered with red material ? To cover cracks in the brick work?? poor pointing ???. I'm sure a risk assessment had not been carried out for the event I believe the height of the balustrade is far too low being at mid thigh height. so in future another 18/24 inches should be added to prevent tippling over of the top bananas. Should this not be achieved five point Safety harnesses and hard hats should be worn. I noted that the Groom drove his new bride to Clarence house (Did Dad know his son had borrowed his car ?) . The car was open topped and Neither occupant was wearing Safety belts . Just a Thought ................ |

Good moaning all..........
Den was right!, it aint over yet, the Beeb have really gorn over the top this time, talk about milk the cow dry, come on aunty Beeb give us back our daily fix of the usual mundane news and weather or we may all end up looking like the Cheshire Cat, permanent sickly grins on our faces!!. Looks likely to be a fine weekend weather wise so will be launching (with a little luck) an inflatable Kayak on to the local river, just hope the ducks don't think it's a rival and attack it!! What ever you are doing, stay safe.......... Have a good weekend........... Old Sage ![]() |

densnaps, thank you for visiting Base Camp.
What a pity olivia was not in .... he-he Do come back, I have introduced you to the Base Campers, and I hope you can underwrite what I said. Besides, there is one absolutely unforgettable American comment to the Biker-kissing-the suicidal-blonde-joke. I think you'll like it! |

Evening all
Another day of sunshine which also led to an additional call up for the Village association to deal with a great pile of bulbs that were supposed to have arrived at the beginning of February. Not a serious problem but the soil in all the planters is now so dry its relatively hard work and questionable how many will actually survive. Did any of our team attend a Street Party? |
