Re: Re:

Good morning everyone.

Dens' talk of Prince Monalulu brought back some lovely memories, I met him once at LEWES (now there is history for you ) Race track in 1958 when for Two Shillings and Sixpence (Twenty five pence) he gave me a horse WELSH BEDE, it won at 10-1 I put Two Pounds on it and I won a whole Twenty Pounds! Considering my wage at that time was eight pounds a week it was a huge win! (You could buy a house in those days for £500 - and a car for the same price!)

As for tigers, you could buy them in Aden (Now Yemen) for about one shilling old money way back in the early 1960s, and after a few of those , many a war was successfully fought both inside and outside the NAAFI.
VERY successful weapons indeed. Mind you the old head was in a bad way afterwards.

Its Formula One again this weekend I think, not to mention "Walkies" for him indoors!

Hope you all have a great weekend! Take care..

Re: Re:

'Morning smile Beautiful day, sun streaming down. Big decision now; do I get out in the garden and plant all the 'things' I bought yesterday, or do I tackle all the dust I can see in every room, shown up by the sun coming through every window!! I sure 'ain't' going to do both! Leave the dust I think. amd just hope no-one pops in as they are passing! wink Have a great day everyone! smile

Re: Re:

Evening all

Sun all day again but not quite as warm and I didn't spend a lot of time outside.

I didn't use the BBQ I built once last summer so I'm hoping for better luck this year but I don't think it will be tomorrow, it's already a tad chilly outside despite the bright sunshine. . Anyway, have a good one Scribe.
