Snow fall overnight has caused the usual havoc in this neck of the woods, schools closed, trains delayed, roads unpassable? and thats with just a sprinkling!, heaven help us if it snows like it did in '63 .................. Have a safe day and keep warm..... Old Sage |

Evening all
Here, the white stuff was pretty wet and the pavements were slush from the start and now what remains is largely on the roof of cars that haven't moved during the day. |

Snow here shows no sign of melting - I am seriously considering cancelling my car service which is due this morning!

Good morning all..........
----------------------------------------Just been listening to David Beckham and Englands hope to host the world cup, I don't care for football much, rugby is my sport, but being patriotic to my country I hope we are successful in our bid. hopefully it would 'kick' of the economy and generate a few more jobs and along with the Royal wedding and 2012 Olympics England would be able to show the world once again why we have the 'Great' in Great Britain. Oh and by the way The Ashes coming home would be the icing on the cake! Good Luck England my fingers will be crossed on Thursday. Evening all
The white stuff pretty well gone here but it's still too cold for my liking. Must take my wife for her birthday lunch tomorrow but we'll be choosing the closest decent eatery as there's no sign of any increase in temperature for some days yet. |
