Re: The green green grass

What software (if any) are you using to edit it?

that's the strange thing : I don't edit them at all, they come off the camera (Nikon D5000) in .avi format and I can't copy them to the mobile hard drive

just turned in my first result in ages.

way to go!

Still need to de-install all the bloat-ware

huh what's that
is it all the stuff that is on the 'puter when you buy is completely unuseful?
I wish I dared to clean that stuff off (I'm always afraid I'll delete something I turn out to need later)
I'd have even MORE space to fill with pictures of Casper...maybe I should keep the bloatware :)
when trying to back up the videos I tried this pre-installed NTI-backup programme, all very flashy and stuff, except that the backup you make...the computer can't read that particular kind of file
what use is that??
who ever thought people buying this computer would enjoy a backup programme that gives them useless backups
arhghg

Won £50 for a suggestion I made at work, through the suggestion scheme.

wow I wish we had that! I'd be filthy rich in no time
and I wouldn't even charge them for my most valuable suggestions like "why don't you get lost"
devilish devilish devilish

overcast blegh

I think you will need to change the file format. What phone do you use?

I managed to put some video on my phone, but I had to buy some software to change the format.

When you use a 3rd party program like NTI to do back ups, you have to use the same program to do a 'restore'.
In my opinion, it's much easier to burn the files to a CD, or a DVD, as data files.

Re: The green green grass

Evening all

It's been a good day to get the bed linen out on the line and when that was brought in, I got out to cut the grass for the first time for ages and then found the roofing felt on one of the sheds was looking a bit worse for wear - a bit like me - so I had to spend a bit of time doing a patch up job to keep it going until I feel in the mood to do a complete re-roofing job which means a new roll and some timber strips.

Re: The green green grass

.....as usual, as with the drought in '76, as soon as they introduce a hose ban it started to rain......hose ban is now lifted, perhaps we will now get some sunny weather.....
