Evening all
Cool today and not in the jazz sense. At least it didn't rain for my shopping walk and I get to travel in all sorts of cars as I never know which cab driver is going to turn up. I can't tell you what a relief it is not to have that pile of metal sitting outside and ousing cash whether I need it or not. You can get an awful lot of cabs for a grand a year and I probably spend but a quarter of that. |

Greetings Fellow Crunchers. Even though I am now on another team I still consider you all a part of my Family of Friends as Ted so apply calls you. I hope the feeling is mutual. Definitely shows we have all got "stickability", doesn't it? oi! who are you calling sticky? I'll have you know I shower regularly (and then I'm not even counting the times Casper splashes his bathwater all over me) (I'll bring my stick to walk with!) I'm not buying it, I bet you have these mean nordic walking sticks and we see you disappearing over the horizon in no time and when we get to the pub all the scones will be gone boooohooo That can't be a car - it's got to be a bus!! a tank! Lilsis has computers?? - plural? That's just greedy, she must be able to spare just one. If not, hijack it. technically... my dad has them and I'd have hijacked them yonks ago if they weren't all completely obsessed with computer security (anti spam anti spyware anti virus anti malware...I'm sure they've got an anti-evy programme there running in the background)it makes the poor old beasties so slow it takes about 40 mins to start them up and 20 minutes to load a browser page (to avoid a long explanation I usually tell people my parents don't have internet... ) i'll keep trying though ... an evil plot is hatching to dump all this rubbish into a container and install two brand new spiffy speedy laptops in that room...my mother is already on board as the ever-widening computer farm severely limits her ironing space don't let on though! 2B or not 2B sunny here! unexpectedly so even they've been announcing loads of rain but they've been pushed back day after day for a week now (hope they keep being pushed back) |

Evening all
I suppose it's still summer but the heating tried to start up this morning and my poor frame needs a cardie on indoors. There's been enough damp stuff for the grass at the back to start turning green again so I may yet have to get the mower out again. |

Evy wrote "I'm not buying it, I bet you have these mean nordic walking sticks and we see you disappearing over the horizon in no time and when we get to the pub all the scones will be gone boooohooo" Have a heart - you must remember that the knees I have now are not the ones I was born with! I do a 2.5 mile walk every single morning, but that takes me 25 minutes!! So I reckon you'd all stand a good chance now of overtaking me!! ![]() ---------------------------------------- [Edit 1 times, last edit by Former Member at Aug 14, 2010 7:22:20 PM] |
