Re: THE EDWARDIANS - WHY NOT JOIN US AS THE QUEST CONTINUES -

Evening all

Damp here all day but no sign of any white stuff so it must have all gone your way Merle.

I'm certain that you need a car Den both for where you live and the voluntary work that you do.
My decision when coming back from Germany was simple. If I got a place in London, then I could do without a car and having survived 40 years plus doing 18 thou miles a year without injury I thought it a pretty good option. Of course, I'll probably get run over by a bus, that's life.

Re: THE EDWARDIANS - WHY NOT JOIN US AS THE QUEST CONTINUES -

Have you chosen the 33rd White yet?

Yep!! We almost have lift-off!! Finally tracked them down - right 'white', square, and acceptable size. They are also in stock, so son-in-law is coming tomorrow morning to measure up and we then go to buy them! Hooray! laughing And then son-in-law will alert his 'tiler' and hopefully they will soon be on the walls. Just one small matter, I am attracted to a really nice coloured glass border but they come from a different shop and probably not in stock sad . So that has to be determined tomorrow I think. Hoping to match up the floor to the colour in the border. If all goes well with all that, then it is just a small amount of wall painting and we are there!! What will I do with myself then I wonder? (Oh just remembered - second bedroom still has to be decorated (new bed-linen bouught ages ago) but favourite decorator has not been well so I am hoping he is making a good recovery now.) Then the whole place will be done and I can relax and do nothing!! laughing wink How do you do nothing I wonder?? confused confused Mind you, maybe I will have to go and get a job to pay for it all! sad

We all need an update! Did you get the tiles OK? confused

Just discover my new Yaris takes such high specification motor oil that it is almost impossible to get anywhere other than specialist motor racing places. It must be the formula 1 engine in it tongue
If I told you the price of a 5 litre bottle, you'd have another reason to give the car up. sad

Yep! Tiles duly bought and currently standing just inside my side door!! wink However, (there had to be one didn't there?) decided the glass border tiles would be good (confirmed by son-in-law) so had to order those from the other shop (they reckon 3 days before delivery). Once that all happens son-in-law will alert his tiler and hopefully he will be able to come pretty pronto! Then will match up the flooring with the 'brown' in the glass border tiles (are you keeping up with this??) and shouldn't be much longer! Just hoping my decorator is in good enough health to come and finish it all off for me! confused devilish

Re: THE EDWARDIANS - WHY NOT JOIN US AS THE QUEST CONTINUES -

morning all ,a mighty misty start....
Yaris Lubrication
Guess its like buying a printer for £99.00 then finding out that the Inks cost thirty plus quid.

could try the cheaper option Supermarket Vegetable cooking oil devilish

There again we regularly pour liquid in at £5 a gallon. So what ever it costs for the super oil, its only every 10k miles it may be even longer service item. Good policy to change on regular basis, cars I have had in the past required I kept a gallon of oil in the boot to top up on a trip the oil never got a chance to go black it was always fresh a blue haze used to follow me round.

Evening all

A damp day looks to be merely the start of a damp week.
