The cars outside have got a white hat on again but its been but occasional flurries. B... cold though and I didn't stray very far. |

Howdy everyone
---------------------------------------- No power for 2 days no phone (internet) for 5 Nearly all my machines ran out of work days ago. Stupid phone company had a line down. Rather than put it back up they disconnected it. Came back 2 days later and rehung it but still didn't connect it. Today I told them if they didn't come back and reconnect it I was gonna cut the pole down so they'd have to come back cause the line would be laying in the road again. I don't think they liked my ultimatum. David knows me, he'll tell y'all I'm not kidding. (he will when he stops laughing  ) Then there was the power outage, a line down 1/8th mile away. But the electricity traveled through the snow and rain to seek a ground in my back yard. It looked real cool till the circuit breakers blew. Looked like a laser light show in my yard  Needless to say, i couldn't get a human on the phone at AEP to tell them my yard was energized.Y'all have a good evening

Evening all
I hope you did Merle. I had a short trip to the shops for some odds and ends and the wind was really bitter. I should have got my Canadian fur hat out. Still no sign of it ending either. Had the email for my gas bill yesterday just to increase the glum. |

Was dark when I got up - now light though with drizzling rain  Half-hour walk into town this morning so do I walk? Or do I 'wimp' it with the car? Decisions. decisions, decisions ........!  |

Evening all
I know the feeling Merle. The weather was just the same here but it was still very light drizzle at nine so I risked it and walked to Sainsbury's rather than catch the bus. Just made it with about a hundred yards to go before it became more serious rain and then, as usual, home by cab and since then It has only just stopped rain of any sort. Have you chosen the 33rd White yet? |

Have you chosen the 33rd White yet? Yep!! We almost have lift-off!! Finally tracked them down - right 'white', square, and acceptable size. They are also in stock, so son-in-law is coming tomorrow morning to measure up and we then go to buy them! Hooray! And then son-in-law will alert his 'tiler' and hopefully they will soon be on the walls. Just one small matter, I am attracted to a really nice coloured glass border but they come from a different shop and probably not in stock  . So that has to be determined tomorrow I think. Hoping to match up the floor to the colour in the border. If all goes well with all that, then it is just a small amount of wall painting and we are there!! What will I do with myself then I wonder? (Oh just remembered - second bedroom still has to be decorated (new bed-linen bouught ages ago) but favourite decorator has not been well so I am hoping he is making a good recovery now.) Then the whole place will be done and I can relax and do nothing!! How do you do nothing I wonder?? Mind you, maybe I will have to go and get a job to pay for it all! |
