Dry but pretty cool here. I'm not sure whether we shall see any more of the white stuff but none is forecast for the moment. |

Another dusting of the white stuff this morning - all frozen! Wanted to make an early start at the shops but will have to re-visit my agenda and move a few things around! Urgh ....!

Evening all
No white stuff but very cold; one of those days when I wish we still had a workable fireplace to throw a few logs on. Still when compared to having to be dug out in the Yorkshire Dales, it's nothing. |

Bit of a shock going back to work today. The temperature gauge in the car said -5 centigrade when I started out, I suspect it was sub zero all day.
I now no longer work for the outsourcing company, since I am now officially insourced, that seems to be another shock. Had to go to a welcome presentation this morning to introduce us to the company. I've worked there 22 years and many of my colleagues even longer. So it was a bit unfortunate that the hapless HR rep told us to follow her if the fire alarm went off, so that we wouldn't get lost in the building! The Director who turned up was much better and didn't stick his foot in it nearly so badly. Did get a new mug, keyring and umbrella with the company logo on it and I suppose it was better than doing proper work! I think being insourced will take a while to get used to.   |
