by the way, snow 99% gone now
but since there was this tiny bombardment of flakes in the extreme south of the country (why didn't we remember to give that back to france??) it counts as the first white Christmas in 23 years! |

Evening all
Perhaps because we call the composer Pu-Chi- Ni but what the hell, what the hell. I quite liked being called E-Van outside of the UK. I tried to remember the last time I experienced a White Christmas. Not in this century certainly. |

Morning all, hope to be able to relax today after a hectic Christmas period, Poor old dog has been coughing like mad, obviously caught a cold by eating snow!
Try finding a vet at Christmas! They are probably all in Barbados or somewhere else exotic, helping Merle's dentist to spend the vast fees they charge! He will probaly be better by the time I find one! Have a good New Year everyone |

Just got back from my morning walk - bit dodgy to say the least! Like walking on a skating rink - but I do always feel better once I have done it
---------------------------------------- Next thing on the agenda is a trip to the supermarket to replenish the larder, but goodness knows how long it will take to de-ice the car? "It's being so cheerful that keeps me going!" Now who is going to be old enough to remember who used to say that?? (I'm old enough, but don't have any memory left now) ![]() [Edit 1 times, last edit by Former Member at Dec 28, 2009 10:34:10 AM] |

Evening all
Ah, there was something about radio comedy that can never be reproduced visually. Our own imagination gave the characters their shape in our own minds so we could never be disappointed seeing the real bodies. 'Can I do you now sir?' What do you see behind that voice? Coolish again here but no threat of new snow. Daughter No 2 is now at a rented cottage in the Dales so what might that be like Ted? |

Snow has been thawing, but roads are very icy, hope the cottage has a warm fire. Where in the Dales is she? Its a huge area! |
