Welcome back Cober - good to hear you are feeling better. Sounds like you have similar weather 'over there' to what we have here at the moment!! But I bet you have better services to clear the snow, etc.!!

Good to see you back Chris, Hope you have a Great Christmas! and an even better New Year!
Some doctor on the TV this A.M. said that the way to achieve inner peace is to finish all the things u have started. So I looked around my house to see things I'd started and hadn't finished and, before leaving the house this morning, I finished off a bottle of Merlot, a bottle of chardonay, a bodle of Baileys, abutle ... |

I was quite chuffed this morning 'cos the car only took about 5 minutes to de-snow, de-ice and get going. Uneventual shopping for a few 'bits', got home and signs of "sort-of" partial thaw. However, that lasted about 30 minutes and then the while stuff started falling from the sky again! Now the whole landscape is white again, nothing can be identified under it's white blanket and car has once again disappeared!! I love my apartment, but I don't half miss my garage!! ![]() I'd love a garage too! At least it is raining at the moment, so no snow. I have only just finished a load of mad last minute packing for my holiday. I hadn't planned to leave it until the last minute, but I am a bit disorganised at the moment. I've got to go to be bed now to get up at 4:00 to get a taxi to the airport. I don't think I'll sleep much, way too early for me. Anyway, since I won't be back for a week I want to wish you all a very Happy Christmas! I hope you all have a very good time and eat far too much! I am going to try to avoid computers for the week, so will see you when I get back! ![]() |

A White good morning
---------------------------------------- started snowing late last night Looking at yesterdays roads which considering the small amount of snow we had were pretty poor. We had some therapists ,who had to travel in, didn't travel in so had to cancel activity's for patients . Expect more or less shut down today for us, folk not keen to venture out in the snow for a quick rub down with some ylang ylang About to venture out to try and clear/grit drive just in case ![]() >>>>>>>>>>>>>> hope your trip goes well (thats the one to the airport) Im sure once you get to sunny climes all will be well ![]() ---------------------------------------- [Edit 1 times, last edit by densnaps at Dec 22, 2009 7:33:27 AM] |

Well, one look out of the window and certain knowledge that I won't be going anywhere today!!
So looks like the overdue housework might get done, as long as I keep the lights on - can't see much otherwise - very gloomy!Have to be able to leave the house tomorrow as I have my dreaded three hour session at the dentist! Hope you all have a good/safe day! |

Do you lot realise that if it wasn't for all this global warming, we in England would have frozen to death this week!

as long as I keep the lights on - can't see much otherwise - very gloomy! strange, our house is always extra light when there's snow and there is still lotttts snowmovers have pushed everything onto the cycling paths, this morning I finally gave up and went to the station on foot; 30 mins of stumbling through slush, feet completely soaked, only to find out that the first three trains in my direction had been cancelled while they were running just fine yesterday and there was no extra snow grrrrrrrr luckily there was a bus :ninja: |
