It saddens me that Ted no longer is here.
I shall forever gratefully remember the days I spent in Thirsk at Andrea's house in 2011 when she and I toured York, The Yorkshire Dales, and Whitby with Ted as a competent, knowledgeable and fun driver and guide. |

Hello, George's dad here. We're still crunching but haven't been on the forum for ages. So upset to come back and learn of Ted's passing.
----------------------------------------We always visited him whenever we came up to Melmerby on holiday. We would go to the Station Inn for an evening meal just a few miles from his house. I hadn't communicated with him for a while but now to learn of this is very sad, for George and his brother also. Let's continue this mission in his memory. Edwardians forever. |

Sorry about the down-time folks. A little bit of a over-heating problem. Our 9 year old "superputer" (as Ted called it at the time) got retired by a new Ryzen 7 2700X machine but chewing away on 16 WUs at a time gave it a touch of indigestion and heartburn. However a dose of Arctic MX-4 thermal paste, administered by George with maximum fiddling but minimal cursing, seems to have rectified the situation and we're up and away again. Edwardians forever.
