Thanks Keith and welcome back.
Gratz on all the milestones. Thought I might have actually made the top 10 tonight, but I'll just be happy that this machine is starting to put out some really nice numbers. Hopefully It'll keep up in at least the upper 2000 range. 5000 range would be great but not sure if it's realistic or not. I know I've had a bunch sitting in pending, but we'll see how it goes. |

OK, Blizzie here's the deal. Email Jonathan the name and address of where you want it shipped and I'll send it to you. I looked around and don't have a shipping box so I'll reuse the one my replacement machine comes in. Don't get anxious, this will take around three weeks but you can have it.  EDIT: It's a Gateway GT5628 How much will shipping cost you... I'm thinking it'll be over $20. I don't want you to waste money or anything. I don't know if t's a good idea to ship it to school. Haha... What's wrong with it? Does it need a new part or something? Don't worry about shipping. If you want it, email shipping details to Jonathan and I'll send it. If not I'll take it to the local elementrary school. Please let me know either way. I think it has a flakey power supply but not sure of that. I've never been able to run it in hot weather over 85% cpu. It just suddenly shuts down. It's a Q6600 quad. Vista home 32 bit. 3 gig memory. Let me know. Dataman, just let me know how much it costs to ship and I'll send you a check (or do you prefer PayPal?)! Why is Jonathan paying for the shipping?  I can pay for it.Well, I know you said that money is tight and I just picked up a tutoring gig teaching some rich kid philosophy, so I figured I would direct some of the money to a good cause.  Sounds fun. Good luck with that. Up to you. I can pay but if you really want to burn $$$ then thanks a lot. Actually I don't think I can take it. Parents won't let me ship it over. Since they asked who it was and yea.. OK by me, saves me work. "No good deed goes unpunished". Note: I put that machine on Milkyway, @ 100% cpu and limitied it to 3 cores and it appears to be working. If so I will call it the "duo and a half" machine. I had to take PS3grid off the 8400 cards as they can't complete a wu in time. Good morning MOT!   |

Good mornin' DM. Hopefully by this time tomorrow morning, my new quad will be returning its first WU's. One of my sons is coming by after work this evening to help get it unpacked and set up (and, oh yeah, to disconnect one bright blue light -- lol).

If it was a blacklight I'd have kept it. You will like it. Yes, thought I'd cut Capt'n some slack. I ordered the replacement machine yesterday ... it's a secret ... secret weapon!!! I figured I would spend the money now before my government takes it away to bail out Martha Stewart, Mary Kay and the little girl down the road who runs the lemonade stand. |
