I see you have some new QMC stat's.  So wierd ... my one vid card @ PS3grid is almost out producing 13 cores at WCG.  I hope there are some more good projects on the horizon. |

Not really, just had a batch escape from the PV Jail.....  Well, either way, thanks! I'd love to hear from you more here if only to provide a refreshing change from having to listen to an OLD geek and a YOUNG geek get all techno on us here (I can say that being a fully certified nerd, not to mention certifiable).  |

Okay, here's one for the geeks - how do I find out if a machine has a gpu that is one of the ones PS3GRID runs on?

Okay, here's one for the geeks - how do I find out if a machine has a gpu that is one of the ones PS3GRID runs on? here Those in red do not work and the grey ones work but cannot complete a wu in their 4-day time limit. The green ones are OK. EDIT: If you are thinking about buying a new card, make sure your power supply is large enough. Good mornin' DM. Hopefully by this time tomorrow morning, my new quad will be returning its first WU's. One of my sons is coming by after work this evening to help get it unpacked and set up (and, oh yeah, to disconnect one bright blue light -- lol). Cool dave ... If it was a blacklight I'd have kept it.  You will like it. Yes, thought I'd cut Capt'n some slack. I ordered the replacement machine yesterday ... it's a secret ... secret weapon!!! I figured I would spend the money now before my government takes it away to bail out Martha Stewart, Mary Kay and the little girl down the road who runs the lemonade stand. Dataman, tell me your plan is to buy two cheap quads with beefy power supplies and Nvidia 9800gts, not one turbo quad (because after all, GPU processing is the way of the future!).  Ya know, it's nice to see someone with a social conscience making some money on Wall Street. Hey, anyone with spare cash is welcome to send it my way! Seriously, if folks want to spend money on something other than more machines, have a look at www.kiva.org. |

On vista open the control panel, double click System, on the left click on Device Manager and the expand the line Display Adapter. It should be something like nVidia Gforce 8800 GT. |

Done! Vista is properly activated on my IBuyPower Quad! Never heard back from TigerDirect, but looked more closely at the system and found the M'Soft sticker on it. Next, had to find my magnifier so I could read it (aging is such fun). Then started the activation process and all is well with the world! Might see a minor nudge on tonights stats because at least one WU from it got out of PV jail late in the day.
