Oh noes! Where is everyone?
New Kamelot album and new greatest song ever? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=S9hGHnXPEi4 The Ghost Opera - it's a song about a female opera singer who is raped on her way to her premiere. The song is her ruminating on her past, thinking about what could have been, what her premiere, what should have been her greatest moment, should have been like. As usually, Kamelot's lead singer, the opera-trained KHAN, and guest female vocalist Amanda Somerville provide a compelling performance. This time, Kamelot is joined by a full symphony orchestra in addition to their driving guitar licks. The traditional "metal" style is deemphasized, in favour of a more technical and interesting orchestration, along the lines of Metallica's S & M. However, the incredible electric guitar solos are still both plentiful and expertly executed. |

Hey all, my points will suffer temporarily as I will be conducting some long-overdue video processing. Ripping many many many dvds. BOINC is running at 90% throttle control, in addition to whatever XP limits its access to fuel the video editing suite. I'd prefer to do it on my laptop, but that would mean transfering TONS of video using a crappy USB 2.0 HD. Not my gig. Points should only suffer for 3 days.

Also, Blizzie, why is the new 8 core processor called the I7? That is idiotic. What, was I8 copyrighted? How about the Pentium Octo-Core? Who does their marketing, a bunch of drunken chimpanzees? 'Apparently' but don't quote me on this, its the 7th generation Intel processor. Welcome back Mushball! Hope the vacation was a good one. Marc, good to see the milestone from down under. Hope you are doing well. Looks like Gerald got rested up and is back in force. ![]() I'm running 2x P4 3.0GHz's (both of which aren't on often) thus my tiny contribution at the moment.. But as soon as Nehalem/i7 is out, i'm finally upgrading (which is long, long, long overdue!). I'm also doing well, thanks Keith. Enjoying the olympics (Go Australia!), back at uni for the next semester and working hard stacking shelves for a local supermarket. Hope things are doing well for you and the rest of the team ![]() Good to hear Marc. I remember the days of working my way thru college. I was crazy then - dumb crazy - but one way or another we all end up learning we have limits. Take care of yourself! |
