Also, Blizzie, why is the new 8 core processor called the I7? That is idiotic. What, was I8 copyrighted? How about the Pentium Octo-Core? Who does their marketing, a bunch of drunken chimpanzees?

Keith, it looks like BOINC Stats says I'm going to overtake you in 17 days. I'm gunning for ya! Well, actually, in terms of team points at WCG, you've already past me ( I have almost half a million non-MOT WCG points). In terms of just BOINC credits, yes, you will but that's only WCG. I have another 80K+ credits at other projects MOT is at. Also, none of that includes the year or so I spent crunching UD on a P4 (all WCG). Once WCG does its conversion from points to credits, then places like BOINCStats will have accurate data for accurate comparasions. You'll pass me in overall BOINC credits in 122 days - until the conversion that is, then that will be even longer. Keep trying though! ![]() ---------------------------------------- [Edit 1 times, last edit by keithhenry at Aug 10, 2008 2:13:17 AM] |

No clue. I think they got influenced by a little Apple Marketing. :P The i7. Maybe they'll be a line of 7 CPUs o.0 Haha. Who knows. I got my housing stuff just now... Going to read over, contact the person and say hi. And Uh. I'm not sure what will be on yet. I think I might drop down to only oe Quad. |

Also, Blizzie, why is the new 8 core processor called the I7? That is idiotic. What, was I8 copyrighted? How about the Pentium Octo-Core? Who does their marketing, a bunch of drunken chimpanzees? 'Apparently' but don't quote me on this, its the 7th generation Intel processor. Welcome back Mushball! Hope the vacation was a good one. Marc, good to see the milestone from down under. Hope you are doing well. Looks like Gerald got rested up and is back in force. ![]() I'm running 2x P4 3.0GHz's (both of which aren't on often) thus my tiny contribution at the moment.. But as soon as Nehalem/i7 is out, i'm finally upgrading (which is long, long, long overdue!). I'm also doing well, thanks Keith. Enjoying the olympics (Go Australia!), back at uni for the next semester and working hard stacking shelves for a local supermarket. Hope things are doing well for you and the rest of the team ![]() |
