Re: .

Another watch on the box: B ig F reaking K inetic.

This is hybrid from mechanical an quartz.

Movement is quartz, which makes is some pretty accurate.

Kinetic part comes from anatomy that there is literally generator and lithium-ion battery inside watch.
So, very basic mechanical pendulum concept. But instead of spring, there is rotor of generator on end of gear-train, that seriously leverage ration.
On manual there is mention that rotor of generator, can take up to 100k/rpm.
Agree with this, watch does no live on wrist like mechanical automatic, it is easy to notice that there is so much momentum taken out from pendulum that it kind of does not react at all.
It is also easy to hear, if I turn watch 180' rapily (crown from up to down), sound from gear train is something like pendulum would flow on liquid. Little delay and dies under two second.

That wristband is really unique item.
I did try with nato-strap, but with it, watch was just too bulky to wear. There was simply too much steel on one side of wrist.
Somehow that silicone-stap anchor itself to inner-side of wrist, and with that I just do not notice B.F.K. at all... Some seriously wonderful innovation I say.

Jup, four is my lucky number. That is why I screw it to top cowboy

Re: .

That watch looks uncannily like a watch I received many years ago. It was purely mechanical, but it kept good time. I take it out about once a year and wind it. It still works. Next time I get it out I'll post a picture.

Cheers

I am a little surprised the P/B ratio would be that low, but it suggests that investors believe the company, if liquidated, would only fetch about 1/4 of its worth (asset value). This extreme investor pessimism is probably driven by the great overcapacity of the entire steel industry, driven in a large part by the Chinese continuing to subsidize their domestic producers in the face of a fall in their domestic demand. This results in their having to export their excess production at fire sale prices in order to keep from drowning in raw steel production.
Many companies expanded production of commodities to supply what they saw as insatiable Chinese demand, but now that demand in China is falling across the board, the prices of the basics such as iron ore, copper, aluminum and coal have fallen. These companies are all feeling the pain of reduced prices. Once the supply and demand worldwide comes back to equilibrium, prices will stabilize, but this may take a few years.
One of the brighter spots is the companies which are providing value added finishing to the raw commodities as their costs have been reduced.
Cheers
