Re: .

Not sure what a lut berry is, but those do look like nice blueberries. I have tried to grow a couple of different cultivars of blueberries (recommended by the University of Minnesota), but I think I do not have the right soil type as I did not have much success.

Cheers

I was trying to wrote -> lot berries smile

I was able to found this and first think comes to my mind and it requires very acid ground (pH 4,5 - 5,5) not sure will much more grow on that environment than moose's, you know kind of swampi kind of environment.

About blueberry (European) it is economically _the berry_ here, but there is absolutely not any cultivation what so ever. There was some test field on 1940's and 1960's with some US-plants, but that's pretty much of it.
Biggest reason for this is last Great Famine which did lead to legislation that you can pick all berries and mushrooms freely from forest. Also if sold any of those, all incomes are tax free.

99,9% of pickers working on industry, are from Thailand with pretty much on their own risk. They might get salary or not.
Few years ago there was lut pickers from Rossija, but on one cold summer (no berries on forest -> no salary) local villagers did litteraly need take them to emergency feeding. They just did not handle local forest very well.
Now a days I think dude(ttes) from east are mostly working on strawberry field, which are purely firms on form of plantation.

This is the variety I tried, but I don't think my soil was acidic enough.

Re: .

Some seriously odd item for today.

Did travel to downtown of crappytown (Hellsinki) and as did have time to spare, sat moment on Lutherans high tech isolation chamber on pic.
I have to admit that that those dudes as engineers are some great ones for sure, I just did notice that I can actually hear voice of my own breath.

But sure, when I did eject myself to Narinkatori (market square outside), there was this street artists with some cool magic tricks.
Did buy my attention since dude did have "Old Irish" accent for sure, and just to because did enjoy waterfall of those ancient words so very much, did spend moment and another to see dudes magics.
My part on spotlight come up when he did ask 20€ bill to perform next trix.
Did pick one (and only) from my wallet, did receive some permanent marker to put signature on it and show did went on.
Dude did found "my" 20€ from some watermelon, but I did not found of my own signature, more like some general blue wet paper.
But sure did not want to be party pooper or anything, so just drop that wet blue paper back to magician top-hat and continue my travel.

Odd item was that when I check my wallet, I did still found 20€ bill from my wallet.
I can say for 100% sure that there is only one 20€ note on my wallet for ever, I have few cards that endsure each another out for ever, but just in case if every electrically system will go down, have 20€ note to pay bus fee to Metropolitan.
So yes, know for sure that did put this one and only 20 note from my wallet to this street artist hat, and since was able to receive something like wet blue paper mass, did just gave grand applauses, because did really want show go on.

So seriously. This 20€ note on my wallet is something out from Stephen King books or Twilight Zone.

I love that natural wood look. The space looks quite spartan, but contemplative.

Mean while on Finnnnland.... Another magic hat trick with money love struck

Central Bank cannot found governement directly -> that's Monetary Policy -> that's baad.
Central Bank can buy governement bond from after marker -> that's Open Market Operation -> M'kay

On link sub-title 7.1 last line (Public sector purchase programme), will present amount of money that Central Bank has allocated to be used on Open Market Operations inside Euro-area.
Happens to be very equal with money, that governement actually need. Yes yes, same number that was 0 on 2014.
http://www.suomenpankki.fi/en/tilastot/tase_j...134b9de6c46c_3_45iT0R0x18

So in praxis.
Finland governement bond's will get close to zero interest also on future even when belly up, because if nobody else will purchase those zero intrest bonds on public auction, Bank of Finland will.

Re: .

Ou poi, three day fast (0 calories) behind.....

Easy breezy since office rat, and can turn temp of my condo up to +28'C (+82'F). So no burden, cold or anything.
Did went little neurotic need to mention, dug warehouse and found some ancient T43 etc, did install Ubuntu on them, put 4G network up and did add seven ancient (one to two core) laptop to it.
But not any physical symptoms, no hunger, lack of energy or anything.

Only great mistake I did, was that end fast on office, big mistake....
When sip pint cocoa full of sugar, my brains just did explode from part that is responsible for emotions.
I did really need to put my self to gather not to cry out lot. Literally, if I would ease grip even little, I would become human fountain.

Once I was happy that I'm working on office that is full of middle aged Ph.D ladies. They sure would hug me to oblivion....

Wish I would have been there. You must have been a sight to see when you taking the first drink. Almost feel sorry for the Ph.D crowd. laughing

Re: .

New darkness on my life.
I named it eNoche and it appears between nautical and astronomical stuff.

Dark subarctic autumn here, still very warm, no mosquitoes.
I did discover that "dark forests" inside metropolitan area between big hubs, has artificial horizon.
Got luxury to spend lot time on forest during dark time and did notice that if there is any clouds, then light pollution from nearby hub will scatter enough to make treetop-line visible.

So it is astronomical on old scale, because forest is so dark that there is no way to see horizon.
But if there is clouds on autumn inside metropolitan area, then treetops will replicate horizon and it is visible. I think mostly because contrast, trees are dark and white cloud behind those.
Therefore I proudly present: eNoche

Tested dozen time and was able to get either totally lost in dark forest or know where exactly I was on already very familiar area.
eNoche is very easy to turn off simply pulling hood down to visor of cab, so this treetop-horizon becomes invisible.
Obviously we (humans) also remember these kind of things very well, without knowing it. With this I mean and on daytime I always kept my eyes on walking horizon, really without paying any tension to treetops.
Or then this treetop-horizon is just so identical with real one, that I recognize it. Even than real one is 3D and another on 2D.

Re: .

Thnks Joe.

Another item I did discover, is one possibility how peoples get panicked when they get lost on forest. I did actually did have that moment few second myself, even when I was not on lost.

I did walk on familiar gravel path on darkness, where I was able to see only edge of white gravel and black soil. So very literally I did need to look directly down to my own feet's while walking. Familiar path so did know that first turn to left and as long as I can see border, just keep walking.
First distortion was that I did take different size step on familiar path, I did take shorter steps, more carefully -> my sense of time did get distorted.
Now I did try to understand time with my emotional side, I think this is why human generally build clocks. This is really where it leans, not to rational site.

So my emotional intelligent told me that I have walk five times too long, I'm seriously lost, miss crossroad and kept walking wrong direction.
Same time my ratio was very wear that I have not miss crossroad, I was able to see border all the time, so nope, I have just not reach the crossroad yet.
And there I was, when this two side have totally different point of view to same opinion, it's dogfight. My did last something like three second since was on very comfy surrounding generally myself.

So kind of did learn that best way to not get lost, is just make sure that you are lost.
Mechanism is simple, panic can occur only when there is possibility to survive.
Passengers on ship, where there is not a single lifeboat, goes under usually quite peacefully. If there is one lifeboat, full chaos.
So now when I did not actually mind at all to be lost, I did sink every lifeboat myself and prevent possibility to panic occur.
Sound odd but makes only sense because sense about of it how I do feel about it am I lost or on the map, has absolutely nothing to do with my navigational skills, it did tell me very clearly all the time that I need to keep walking forward.
There was absolutely not any distortion at all on navigation, but there was between how I did feel myself about it. And think it is result of this dogfight generally.
If I ever need to face situation to be lost, I just keep telling myself that I have been totally lost from square one. This has absolutely nothing to do with real navigation skill, but prevent dogfight.
