Very nice. The frosted glass windows go well with the green color scheme.

Re: .

Hello fellows smile

Some watch stuff after while.
Think I have now chronometer grade Seiko, that Orange Monster presented on this thread before.
After some adjusting, I have able to make it run +2s/d, which is very clear inside COSC-standard.

Playing a round mechanical watches (I know that there is some Apples on air right now, but please let me be old €uro geezer) is actually very funny.
It kind of equal to old fashion carburetor cars, you just can tune those without any special coding language or anything.
There is very simple +/- marks on levers, so common sense will get quite far.

Think my Seiko can beat 99% of Rolex's on my zip code after I can get more wrist time and do more fine tuning tongue

Re: .

Here is something to be proud of, did get my Orange Monster run with +1s/d accuracy. It is helluva lot for mechanical time piece, −4 /+6 s/d would be fine enough for Swizz chronometer.

But still, Seiko's movement is not so very quality piece hence it took a lot testing and trying from my behalf, to get it run on this range.
With this I'm trying to say that it will run very different time on different positions, like crown up, dial up. etc.. Think that is main reason why they send those from factory something like +15s/d.
So did walk this Monster on my wrist day after day (think I have never got so much attention on office) and did adjustment once on 24h, and obviously I have enough solid day pattern.
So it is kind of very personal watch, think would lost all it accuracy on somebody's else wrist.

Re: .

Some Swedish stuff. Snus.

First some health issues. Snus is not healthier version from tobacco etc. This is pure urban legend. There is direct link between oral cancer and if use regularly, it will burn cums like acid. Plenty pics on Internet what will happen on regular use.

Snus (please do not mix with snuff, very diffrent product) is very unique Swedish product.
Basically illegal on hold European Union and even on Rossija. But because cultural (Swedish) item like akvavit and surströmming, it is aloud to bring tiny amount (1,5kg / 3 pound) for own personal use across Swe <-> Fin custom.

What makes snus unique is it high alkalinity, which causes nicotine to work more efficiently. Also make it burn like heck, which has create another urban legend that there is glass on snus. So yes, kick like a mule but no glass. But sure feels like glass and mule spine on lip when using this.

Did learn this nasty habit when was working on bank (brokers did suck these like candies) and when around there on Sweden, like to take few disk to suck.
Comes on tiny bags and when cold dry, does not drip, cause drooling or anything. Quite much like chewing gum pillow with strong taste on this form, absolutely something that can be used on office if know you can have time of your own.
Nope, I do not even try to speak while this under my lip.

Usually there is 8mg/g nicotine, but there is also this extreme version having 22mg/g.
Dear how this stuff kicks. Unlike smoking stuff, this is highly stimulative and since I do not smoke or have tolerance (closest shop is 700km / 470 miles from my home) this sure is handy tool to wipe tiredness away if need to burn midnight oil.
Kind of equal to gallon of boiling hot coffee poured to a knee or something.

Re: .

You are right on the health issues. When I was young there were some older guys who used the stuff. I knew a couple of them who had parts of their jaws removed due to cancer. Bad stuff. Give it up before it gets you. Snus (I always think of it as spelled "snoose") is slickly marketed but they never show the pictures of the aftereffects.

Cheers
