We have carefully reviewed your records and regret that we cannot offer you admission to the University of California, San Diego.

Aawww ... that is sad. You would have liked Black's Beach. But glad you were accepted at Santa Cruz. Half Moon Bay is cool too. Good luck!

Maybe staying around home in a CSU isn't that bad of an idea. I think $30 an hour is calling for me at AT&T. Of course that's not guaranteed at all. If I can get a job and work upwards while in college, then when I get out, I won't be stuck in a ditch. Congratulations, you have been admitted to UC Santa Cruz for fall quarter 2008! Blizzie, consider all your options. It is always good to have alternatives and open options. If you can make it through college without working (except maybe summers), and not have to graduate with enough debt to equal a mortgage, do that. I had a part time job (about 30 hours a week) at college. ran my own full time business and took a full load at a private university. I was crazy. Yea, I walked out of grad school debt free and, while others talked about moving, starting their new jobs and paying off all their loans, I was talking to real estate agents about finding a place to buy. I was still crazy. You want to be able to focus on classes of course, but you also want to be able to take advantage of the other opportunities that will come along. College is more than classes (and parties). You've got a brain between your ears that works. Keep using it like you have and you'll be fine. We'll all be here pulling for you. |

Hi everyone. I've been quiet lately (comparatively speaking of course). In my efforts to move forward with learning ever more about developing and running our website, I've sorted out loading additional software to our server at our hosting company and used the experience to move my blog over at the same time. I continue to gain experience with PHP as I work to add proper validation to any changes you submit when viewing the site. It's important to recognize that not all of us still have eagle eyes and provide the ability to adjust the site so that it's easily viewable for you. Doing that first will allow everyone to get the most out of the content that will be added together. Also, our use of PHP will be rather extensive once I have our daily results going into a database on our site as that will be how the hopefully many various statistical reports will be presented automatically.
----------------------------------------I think we're starting to get a taste of how the summer will be for us when folks have to shut down some machines due to the heat. What is typical of one of our "low-end" days will be a great "high-end" day soon enough. Still, it's much better than where we were last summer so we're still moving in a positive direction overall. I guess overall, it's an improvement from where we were a year ago (as of last Friday) when I became the third Captain of MyOnlineTeam. |

...and used the experience to move my blog over at the same time. Does that mean you might create some new activity at your blog? I read a few last month and actually answered one of them only to realize (after submitting) that I was posting to one from 2006. I'll just add that to my long list of "duh" moments. |
