We have carefully reviewed your records and regret that we cannot offer you admission to UC Davis. Sorry to hear that Blizze. One down but several more to come and some of those will be good news. I took the crazy route back in my day. Applied to one college under their early decision program at the time. Arranged an on-site interview with the admissions folks. Gives you a chance to make yourself stand out more and, while they don't necessarily admit any concerns about you, they have a perfect chance to ask questions about them and get answers they wouldn't otherwise have. Kind of hard to interview you without asking questions and the logical thing is to clear up their concerns. Took the same path with grad school and did the same thing. Worked both times too. |

Ah well. I wasn't going to go there anyways. *waits anxiously for the others* Not sure why you would want to go to UC Davis unless you want to plant corn ... follow the South end of a North-bound mule ... or become a vet.  UCSD!!!!   |

To be perfectly honest, your undergraduate school doesn't really matter that much. It's four years of partying your @$$ off, experimenting with illicit narcotics, swilling beer, and chasing tail (not even kidding a little). Then you apply to grad school and that's when it starts to matter. Many paths lead to greatness, but some allow more time for fun along the way. |
