Uh, just remember that we don't know if they are CPU, GPU, CPU AND GPU (the best of both Worlds). I would almost wager it will be CPU. I shall remain quiet why I think that ... Well, it is what it is I guess, but I thought it was a given that the next HCC would be capable of using GPGPUs. In fact, after the exponential increase in the amount of work done last time, going back to CPU only would be like running the project on an abacus. You'd have to start questioning the mental state of whoever was in charge. The only way I can see that being an unfair criticism is if the nature of the work has changed in some fundamental way such that GPUs are no longer optimal to the task - which frankly is hard to believe. Allowing for the occasional exception, there is always going to be SOME aspect that can be offloaded to massively parallel architecture.oh, never-mind. I simply am not politically correct. Meaning, I do not want to annoy anyone just yet. laughing wink Anyway, I won't cry too much over it but I'd appreciate hearing whatever you know.
