I will be adding 24 cores to the cause next week but it may come too late for the Oct Challenges by the time the machine crunches the WUs and they get validated. Machine not scheduled for delivery until the 29th

Machine not scheduled for delivery until the 29th Cool. I'm guessing that'll be a dual hex core? I've been sick the past week with a cold and I wasn't doing all that great even before that. I changed routers a couple of weeks ago and never really got boinctasks working properly and having been paying attention to the stats. I'll eventually get back into it but for now, things are going to be up and down. Sorry guys.   |

It's a X3950 M2 with the four processor package installed. Has 4 Xeon six-core processors but no hyper-threading and 128GB (32x4GB DIMMS) memory plus 4 146GB SAS Hard-disks

It's a X3950 M2 with the four processor package installed. Has 4 Xeon six-core processors but no hyper-threading and 128GB (32x4GB DIMMS) memory plus 4 146GB SAS Hard-disks Nice. Xeon X7460's. I'd like to run some of my idle machines but I'm still in shock from my summer electric bills. I don't know what happened this year but they were just crazy. I did do a few things differently, but sweet lord . . . Even now in late October I have to keep the heat low since if outside temps get over 60F I'll bake inside. But I can't turn it off or I'll freeze the old nuggies off. twilyth, just get rested and healthy! Thanks. I think I'm doing better, which is sort of amazing. I think the only reason I got sick in the first place was because I'd been slacking off on my vitamin D3 supplements. Once I got back on 1000IU's per day, and added 30mg of zinc, the chest congestion started to dissipate. Normally that would have turned into full blown bronchitis and would have needed a full round of antibiotics and heavy duty cough medicine. I do sort of miss the cough medicine, but honestly, it's not worth the agony.  |

Very good point on the D3; 1000 IU's per day at minimum will certainly help not only the chect congestion, but also colon health and immune support. If you have a Kroger store nearby (they do own many grocery store chains in many states), check to look for Kroger's 'Zinc Cold Remedy' brand (compare to Zicam Cold Remedy). Cherry flavor that dissolves in your mouth very quickly. Great for sore throat, coughing , stuffy nose, congestion (yada yada). At a good reduced price!  How's that for a 'pitch?
