They depend on good returns from investments
In the mean time "Sport" spends zillions on Cricketers
The TV rights sold for unbelivable sums to watch premier League Football

Re: THE EDWARDIANS - MARCH ON

Good morning folks.
Seems like a dry day today, no snow forecast, lets hope that some of that we already have will begin to melt. Its that frozen you could build with it!
House alterations now almost completed, time to start saving again from the meagre pension (which the government calls "benefits" for tax purposes. -Private pensions are called "Unearned income!" - fifty years of unearning in my case!)

smile Good morning all ........
Slippy underfoot but no more snow last night.

'Graduated pension' that's what they called it all those years ago, I think my own must have graduated and went on permanent vacation!!?.

You all have a safe day now ...........

Re: THE EDWARDIANS - MARCH ON

Evening all

Finally got through to say hello. Like all 'improvements' in technology the immediate result is to make it worse. System down for about three hours today.

I subscribe to the Times online crossword which, once again, moved to an improved site so two collapses in the first week when everything had been working well before. Now it's just a jazzier site; still the same crossword that we come to collect.

A dry day with sunshine meant that the visit of a Garden Society official went well with complimentary reports as we look towards official inspection later in the year.

Goood Morning everyone,
Bl**dy freezing here hope you are all wrapping up well, tried to venture out to the shops on foot yesterday, ended t*ts up on the deck, shopping went one way I the other, the embarrasing bit was my next door neighbour who is 76yrs young, bless her, was the only one to help me to my feet blushing
My rr's is a bit stiff and sore and my pride dented but apart from that I'm fine.

You all tread careful now ............
