Watercooling done by the manufacturer won't be as great as you think it'd be. People over at overclock.net will provide you help with making your own watercooling setup. The risk of an improper watercooling setup is leakage.. And when leakage occurs, your computer is in trouble.. CPU, video card. If you don't mind air cooling you can get a Thermaltake Ultra 120 Extreme cooler. Stock cooling on your 2x 8800 GTs will be enough. That will be sufficient. I guess the question should be, are you overclocking your CPU/video card? Watercooling isn't needed if you aren't. I would love to try watercooling myself.. But I'm hoping I can afford college. ![]() ![]() And sorry about your stats banner. >_> Thanks for the tip. I know I want to watercool my CPU because my existing P4 requires so many loud fans to keep it cool (an even with tons of fans, it's still at 58 C under full load). I certainly don't plan to OC my graphics, but I do foresee OCing my CPU. As far as college stuff goes, CONGRATS! Is UCSD your top choice? |

Well my E6600 Core 2 Duo at 3.6 GHz (stock 2.4 GHz) crunches at 46 C load on air cooling. ![]() ![]() But if you're going watercooling, you're on your own from there. Again overclock.net has lots of people willing to help you set it up. Do you have AIM/MSN where I can talk to you? I don't suppose this forum has private messaging... ![]() And UCSD is up there on my choices.. Don't know about top. I kind of like the CSU teaching style better than UC. Sincei t's research based if I'm not mistaken. But more acceptances.. more choices open. |

I did a quick check over at their forum. Nothing. Given the timing, I wonder if it's tied to their update process? They update the stats four times a day so quit posting here and see how long it takes to fix itself again. Then post here again after that and see if it goes blizzie on you again. If so, I'd say you may have found a bug in their update process, at least for that type of banner. I've not noticed a problem with mine but it's a different type from yours. Definitely a bug of some sort. I'm back to matching Blizzie again. And Dataman will be super happy with his stats banner. 44 million points Woohoo! ![]() I see the MOT gained a few points on us today. ![]() |
